That's too cool (beer pong)

Harley didn't strike me as being that great. I enjoyed the Catwoman Future's End issue more. Nocenti is gone forever!

Nocenti is gone, but little does Messi know there will be a 6 issue Superman Doomed crossover with the new Catwoman title, leading into two Futures End tie ins until it's finally canceled. Then they'll announce that Queen Nocenti is back on the book with Greg Land.

I thought it was fantastic. One of the best Futures End titles to date. Hardin killed it on art. It played out like a Saturday morning Batman The Animated Series episode staring Joker and Harley. They had the characters down!

oh, completely unrelated, but I just saw the cover for Volume 8 of Gundam Origin and thought you might get a kick out of it, too.

First time I am not voting for Harley in my books of the month. Thought it was just passable. I feel they can do much better than they have here.

Are you guys taking advantage of the 25 free comics CMX is giving away?

Thanks for the heads up.

The complete lack of hype for the new Catwoman book vs Batgirl and Gotham Academy leads me to believe it is going to be another bad/average book. Hurts to say.

Yes it is,, and the lay out looks pretty damn good.
Marvel Knights Spider-Man layout got confusing at times. Great art but difficult.

P.S.
I feel like an ass having two posts back to back lol

I think for the parts where Peter was drugged/drowsy/tripping the layouts were purposely harder to fully follow in a linear fashion, but overall, I think that book is just ridiculously impressive and meant to be examined for longer than the average floppy.

His other work on the Avengers Annual, with the Doc Strange story, was really easy to follow, and just as impressive.

I just read NA #24 and i am floored, Hickman is putting of God tier stuff right now.

With that said does anyone else think Shuri chose to die there so she can spy on the cabal and feed information to T'Challa? The whole "I have conviction to die for my cause" and Shuri mentioning how the Panther God knew T'Challa needed to speak to the dead black panthers and the fact they can't rely on information from anyone outside of the illuminati sort of tipped me off

Why is the 3rd volume of Seven Soldiers of Victory like double the price of the other volumes and harder to find?

EDIT: I answered the first half of my question with the second half, but still...

eBay is your friend. I got all 4 for ~$20 quite recently.

Edit: Could you not get the vol 2 HC? That should contain both vol 3 and vol 4.

I just jumped on the first vol 3 I could find on eBay. I was checking Amazon and a bunch of other sites too and the price for it seemed out of line with the other volumes. I've been buying them piecemeal off eBay, probably should have looked for the whole series in a single auction when I started reading them.

dang new X-men movie was pretty neat...had a little bit of that teamwork going... I wish they'd go redo that last bit on the Wolverine, I was loving that movie until it pooped itself

I won a couple hundred bucks in my fantasy baseball league this year and I'm gonna blow it all on comics. What's some good Dredd stuff to pick up? Literally the only Dredd I've read is IDW's Mega City Two and the Dredd/Batman crossover. Is the IDW stuff as good as the 2000AD stuff? I'm completely clueless here brahs, help me out.

Am I the resident 2000AD addict? Nobody else says shit about it so I'll try to help:

As far as I'm concerned, the IDW books are serviceable, but nowhere near the Riot stuff in quality. Brian Bolland illustrated Dredd is the definitive look of the character and world, but you should probably just start with the case files and read your way on through.

Edit: if you just want to read some Judge Dredd insanity, Judge Death: The Life And Death Of... And Judge Death: Death Lives! Are awesome.

So should I start with Case File 05? I've seen that mentioned a few times as the best jump on point.

I really enjoy Case File 05, but certain things may be lost on you. Bolland kicks ass here though.

Case File 03 is the intro to Judge Death, so you may want to start there.

Case Files 05 has The Apocalypse War, which is the definitive Dredd story with long-reaching consequences (it lead, over thirty years later, to Day of Chaos, the longest Dredd story in history at 48 strips). I would go back to 04 though for The Judge Child.

My brother has been reading 2000 AD every week since the early 80s so I have a good grasp of most of it.
