I cannot get the GameFront Review Page to load properly. Gives a "Content Encoding Error" but on their Twitter they say "One of the best Lord of the Rings titles in years." so I am guessing it's positive.

Pros:

Large world full of activities.
Nemesis system gives names to the enemies you face and makes them unique.
Combat system is excellent and designed to keep the fight flowing constantly.
It’s Lord of the Rings, man.
It’s just fun.
Cons:

It can be very frustrating when you start slicing up your allies.
Veers from the lore of Middle-Earth in spots.
Occasionally, Talion can get hung on world geometry.
Final Score: 90/100

Nice, could be the Arkham Asylum of this generation. Will get it after I get confirmation that the PC port is decent.

Nice reviews. I'm surprised the Nemesis system actually delivers. I wrote it as it most likely being some gimmick. Pleasantly surprised.

This may seem tangential, but after reading Kingdom, I've been longing for something just like the Nemesis system for awhile now. Too many videogames are braindead when it comes to the strategic and even social elements of battle (edit: I should note the romance of battle, not the realities of it). Too much killing, not enough pauses between fights, planning, rivalries, and defeats without death. I hope more developers think more deeply about how to create complex and intriguing battlefields in war games, adding human elements like this bring a lot to the intensity of the experience.

Reviews are more favorable than I expected. Maybe I'll pick this up during a Steam sale if the PC version is solid. No Day 1 because of other games I want to wrap up.

My most anticipated title. I'm so happy right now. I hope the story is better than ign and kotaku are making it out to be though.

Is there a gif of the butler from haunted mansion saying "...Tears...of...JOY" anywhere cause damn I could sure use it.

IGN said that the "main game" is only 12 hours? That seems low for an open world game :O

The same can be said of most sandbox games. There are plenty of things to do in the world, along with the story that makes the whole. That is why they also said they got 25 hours out of it and still had things to do.

I am incredibly glad to hear reviewers say such great things about the Nemesis System. I will admit it, coming off of last-gen, I was skeptical that it was simply going to be another half-baked gimmick to slightly differentiate this open world game from the myriad of others. I am happy to see how wrong I was with that line of thinking. It is great to hear that Monolith is pushing the current-gen technology further than what has been attempted by others so far.

Fucking hell, now more than ever do I regret buying The Last of Us and FIFA 15 back to back this week. Now I don't know if I'll be able to get this next Tuesday. But I know I'll be playing it before the end of the October. I just have too.

Whoa, it's been getting awesome reception! Man can't wait to pick this up next week. Between Hyrule Warrios and this....my holidays are set!

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to check it out tho I'm leaning PS4 since my GTX 580 has ~2gb of vram and I know that'll mean medium-low settings (least that was the case with watch dogs)

I was able to play Watch Dogs on Ultra with 2gb VRAM when it suggests 4, and that's a shithouse of a port, so YMMV. Though yeah, a 580 is probably cutting it close.
