Tuesday cant come soon enough...

Alot of great reviews. Cant wait to play this on tuesday.

Also remember to read the reviews and look at videos and see if this is a game you would like and can get into.

Way to many people see a high score from a game they had no interest in or hate the genre and complain a couple days after picking the game about things they could have found out if they took two seconds to look for information and instead got caught in the high review hype.

12 hours? Ehh im super hyped but no way I'm paying full price for it.

That is just the story. It's a sandbox with other things to do. You are not planning on skipping the world and side content and just playing the story, are you? IGN played it for 25 hours and still had stuff left.

I was able to play Watch Dogs on Ultra with 2gb VRAM when it suggests 4, and that's a shithouse of a port, so YMMV. Though yeah, a 580 is probably cutting it close.

Game was nearly unplayable on anything above medium for me, got those terrible split second stutters, scared it'll happen again with this game. And am still saving up for a nice 970 come holidays

Sounds amazing as I'd hoped.

Nothing short of anal castration will keep me from buying this tuesday

Wish I could buy this right away, but given my lack of funds at the moment, I have to be wise with my game purchases for the next couple months :(

It seems like the review scores will settle around a high 80s average.

I think I will keep my pre-order now despite not being really into LotR.

The graphics are already great looking but I haven't even been able to see it in 60fps (just watching streaming video), so that will be a real treat to see.

Glad this reviewed well, not a big LOTR fan but it looked pretty good.

Alien & TEW are too close to justify the purchase but I'll probably end up buying it before the year is up.

It's not even a 12 hour game anyway. He said the story missions total around 12 hours of game time, but it's going to take longer because the domination and killing of the warchiefs takes up a lot of time too.

I've been a downer on most games in this new gen. Now it's time to pull out the fanboy hat!!!

Fanboy shield's up:

Joystiq's biggest complaint is that boss battle don't feel too different from regular battles. Well that works GREAT for me because I HATE boss battles. Although they did say the last battle used QTEs. Grrrrrrr.... Boooooooo!!!! Hissss to that.

Destructoid complains that the game is to repetitive, and samey. Well to my blinders on fanboy eyes, that review sounds like it was done on too easy of a difficulty level. Generally when that's done, the complexity of the game washes out because you can defeat every encounter the same way, which is kind of what the review said. The reviewer didn't really care if the enemies were different because he could defeat them all in the same way. He was also a little annoyed that he couldn't jump ahead which is another sign that the content was too easy.

I'm so, so happy this reviewed well. It seemed like all the pieces were there, but so many big-budget open world games have faltered on putting it all together.

I normally don't let reviews sway me so much, but I think this just pulled me into Day 1.

Really need to see how the PC version is though.

As I said in the other thread "ill probably get this game, it looks tits".

Now the reviews are saying the same thing, not as elegantly, but basically the same.

Damn, this is surprising.

Ended up getting this on my PS4 (and it shipped today!) for only $35 (after tax) at Best Buy with their GCU stuff + using $15 in bonus credit (10 from Destiny pre-order, 5 from points) and as soon as this charge goes through all the way I'll get *another* $15 in credit at BB due to their $10 pre-order bonus + points.

congrats monolith

I'd also like to say thanks to VanWinkle for making the hype thread for this game, and made me aware of it prior to this thread and its reviews
