If Bungie wants us to do harder stuff and play "for real," there needs to be some more universal benefit for higher level content, not just the rewards for the playlist or daily bonus. Trying to selectively nerf methods of farming low level enemies is a losing battle.
Start by addressing the goofy inconsistency in Vanguard marks and faction: Doing a 15 minute strike in a playlist gives me as much faction as a 2-minute patrol mission, and as many marks as a 5-minute public event.
I still don't understand why we can get benefits from killing level 1's (or 4's or 5's) as level 20+. I swear in alpha or beta there was a point where I'd get nothing from the level 1's, but that just might be bad memory + I was capped at 8.
I guess it's to keep the world alive, more, and I actually appreciate it....it just feels odd.
