Yeah, Uber is a good book. While there's gore, it isn't over the top (or at least AS over the top) as Crossed.

Yeah, it's a WW2 superhero book for the kind of people who love hearing about plans and supply lines and all sorts of dumb anecdotal shit like the million leaflets dropped on Hiroshima or that time France lost because they pissed off the wrong lesbian.

E: Basically what I'm saying is when the fuck are we getting the Uber equivalent of Operation Fortitude

Anyone else in love with the latest run of Amazing X-Men?

Alpha Flight? Great Beasts? X-Men that act like X-Men and not their current 50 shades of grey amoral asshole selves? Fun? Smiles?

I LOVE THIS! These are my X-Men!

Aww hell no, them's fightin' words! I am definitely buying it too.
I dunno man, SST, BYO, Dangerhouse, Alternative Tentacles. Lookout!, Frontier, etc vs. Dischord, and some Boston and Chicago stuff. It just doesn't compare! And plus, NYHC is overrated.
tho the inclusion of DC stuff alone would convince me to buy this

I had the same reaction to Manhattan Projects, so I think it may just be a Hickman thing.
It's most defintely a Hickman thing it was the same with his FF run and his New Avengers/Avengers run. His style of writing and plotting really lends to it being more enjoyable in trade.

Hmm... secret Brubaker/Phillips thing... something to do with Image beginning its reprint collections of Criminal?

I read the first issue of Superior Spider-Man's Edge of Spider-Verse issues. It reminded me how much I liked SpOck and that I miss him. I really hope Spider-Verse is not the end of SpOck. When he
changed his AI in 2099 to look like Anna Maria and told it to shorten the hair so it's just right I just melted.
. He just offers something different to Peter. Can't we live in a world where Amazing and Superior both have ongoings?

You can't just drop this gem of history without some back story.

I subscribed to Marvel Unlimited a few months back and I'm really enjoying it. A lot of the characters & arcs are new to me though since my last comic was probably around the time Archangel first appeared in the 80s.

One character that keeps popping up is this "Red Hulk". Would someone mind pointing me toward the series/event/origin of him?

Thanks!

Read Hulk 1 from 2008 and onwards. Dont look him up in Wikipedia, you would spoil yourself the fun, since it was reveald later, who he is.

Apparently, he debuted in Hulk vol. 2 #1 in 2008.

I understand that he's a rather controversial character, though.

The hell is this.

On another note, next week will be the first week where I'm not picking up any comics from my LCS. None of the books coming out next week is on my pull list.

Bii not even giving Gotham Academy a chance. I am disappointed :(

Bendis singlehandedly keeping the 90s alive? Pls let it die.

It's actually fun. But that's like the trademark for this particular series, the first six issues by Aaron are amazing purely because of the positive vibes (slightly dragged down by Nightcrawler's "deal") and it has the most amazing bro-hug between Logan and Kurt. World War Wendigo is just worth it for the crazy stuff that keeps happening.

Yeah, it's fun. I felt like the storytelling skipped a few beats though, like there was a panel missing 2 or 3 times throughout the issue. But I'm always down for some classic Alpha Flight.

JC's insane generosity is a beacon of comicsGAF. You all should strive to be more like him, dude giving away an Uncanny Avengers volume 4 code like that. Damn.
