PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

I'd take both Rush games and Colours DS over every 3D Sonic other than Colours and Generations. Rush was the first Sonic game I loved to score attack on. Going for S ranks on the Rush games was amazing. The gameplay was original and unique at the time and had my favourite bosses in the series. I adored the Rush games. So fun.

I was about to disagree until I saw you mentioned the only two 3D sonics I care about hah. Generations on PC was funny, because it was the first time I had more fun in 3D sonic levels than I had in the 2D levels. Childhood me would be very angry.

Anyway, regarding energy bars, I have never minded them personally, even in crappy F2P games. The fact that I had to wait for a thing to be built was kind of just a given. Like in Bravely Default how you have to wait for a part of the town to be made. It is more annoying when you can pay to make it go faster, but still never bothered me. But I can totally see why people are annoyed at it, and I think it is crappy to put that into your game. That specific aspect won't affect my decision, but I can understand why it would turn people off.

P.S. I know the Bravely Default example isn't the same thing, just the first idea that came to mind with a somewhat similar idea of waiting.

Will a $50 Amazon PSN code bought in NA work for someone in Australia?

You just remembered me that I have every single shop maxed out, but I'm still on chapter 1, level 8 with less than 6 hours of actual gameplay.

I may or may not be in the same situation...
I transferred my 20 villagers from the demo and got to the point in the main game where I could build the town, then I played other things while maxing the shops and stuff. I was like a farmville addict...

Parakeetman also pushes people to buy SAO SOOOOOOOOO

Yeah.
Sinon is in it, it can't be helped.

It isn't a deal breaker, but people shouldn't have to wait when they have already paid for the game.

Why do I have to wait 1 hour so my Attack+ booster is built? Isn't the entire time I had to farm all those materials needed to make it enough?
What I'm saying is that you shouldn't expect a f2p/jojo bullshit level thing, because this is what happens:

Wait what, Freedom Wars has F2P energy bullshit? Wow, I instantly no longer care about that game.
When it's not really that big of a deal.

I felt like one too, and I got surprised when I noticed that I was only logging in to get more villagers.

No photoshop to edit a snarky phrase, unfortunately.

Dimps holds the honour of developing Tales of the Tempest, a Tales game so bad it was demoted from its mainline status. It's also the only one of the DS Tales trilogy to not receive a Vita remake.

If the account is an Australian one, no. If the person lives in Australia but is using a US account it'll work. PSN currency is super region locked. Even Canada and the US cannot share codes.

Only on Plant-related stuff, though. So weapon production, upgrades and improvements, usable items, and Boosters (some sort of equip).

It probably isn't a deal breaker for many, since on the bright you can also build multiple Plants. You have 7 slots for Plants (4 kind of plants - Weapon, Booster, Medical, Supplemental Weapons like grenades), plus 3 more if you want to fork out cash.

For me, it kills my gratification of finally gathering all those rare materials to upgrade a weapon, only for the game to tell me to wait some 20 minutes. Then I find out I also have the materials for the next upgrade, become happy for a moment and then it tells me to wait 25 minutes. -___-

Bummer, thanks. There is no way to buy games or send PSN currency across regions?

Seriously, Soul Sacrifice Delta is such a must-have for Vita. Especially at the sale prices it has been.

ATXAlchemy, have you actually played Freedom Wars?

Is Hooked On fun?

I don't really have much experience with fishing games, but I enjoyed it. It's light on content, so I'd only recommend it if it's still on sale.

Dude, where did you get the Neptune screen?

Right here: http://i.imgur.com/jPR9G.jpg. I just cropped it to fit the Vita's screen.

There's something that should've been on one of those screens, yet it isn't. Do you know what it is?

P
S Vita Pets
?

Soul Sacrifice Delta and Miku?

I have SSD! I just don't have it downloaded 'cause I want to platinum the vanilla version (but God knows when I'll get around to that).

I have the following games that were downloaded on my Vita (memory card) from my PSN account:

Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX
Metal Gear Solid
Killzone Liberation
Final Fantasy IX

When I deactivate my PSN account, will these games be lost? Will somebody still be able to play them without needing access to my PSN?

Just traded my OG vita in to gamestop to get a slim. The L button was getting kinda weird, so I wanted to do what I could to get it taken care of. Between getting $160 for my original and paying just about as much for a slim + 1 year replacement warranty, I couldn't really complain.

Is Hooked On fun?

I'd say it isn't worth playing even if it's free. Game was designed for touch screen (and is broken if you use buttons, until fish randomly break off your hook for no reason. Stop reeling when the fish pulls but it probably wont matter). Framerate is dependent on stage and weather condition (The first stage runs slow as molasses, and then the next runs at seemingly 60FPS..until it rains then it is also slow). No joke, first stage looks like and runs like this video set between 0.25x and 0.50x speed. Challenge stages consist of 3 challenges, if you don't qualify for a star you still advance meaning that missing a star means replaying all three challenges again, super tedious. The first trophy is bugged and you have to keep starting over until it pops (took me 3 tries).

Also it has a forced dub which sounds like 40 year old moms, and you can't play it muted because the characters tell you if a fish is interested (most of the time they're off screen or clipping into the environment).

Probably the worst game I've ever played, even with the intention of enjoying it ironically.

Thanks for that writeup, sounds quite bad! No waifu fishing for me.

Is anybody else having huge issues with the network right now? I have received 4 or 5 friend requests the last 2 days and I CANNOT accept any of them. Searching for a player either takes an eternity or NEVER happens. This is super frustrating since I am trying to get a group going on Destiny but I cannot even communicate with anybody not already on my friends list.

I'm having sign-in issues currently. I'm able to sign into my PSN account on my PS4 but not my PS3. A friend of mine I was playing with said he keeps getting error messages when he sends me messages (I later get the messages). I'm on the phone with Sony support and live chat saw nothing out of the ordinary with my account.

Maybe the free multiplayer weekend is causing more network disruptions than anticipated.

Forgot about that stupid free weekend. Guess we can all be glad 100% of the people aren't on PS+ because this is frustrating to deal with.

Well, I've got PS+ on another account that I've chosen as Primary and I'm using its PS+ features, but I want the game on my main account that is not plus.

Ah, gotcha. I used to subdivide my accounts -- ps3 games, psp games, ps1 games and got totally burnt by it (vita can only use one account) so now buy everything and anything on a primary account. Took the loss on a lot of psp/ps1 games and rebuy them on sale - I mean, I could technically play them on my PSP or get another card for my vita and deal with account changing, but it was easier just to suck it up.

Of course. Since I'm always so protective with my stuff, I ordered two of [ur=http://4u.pacn.ws/640/ia/playstation-vita-protection-film-for-pch2000-329447.1.jpg]these[/url] in the same order as the bundle, so that I could apply them as soon as I get it in my hands.

For the back touch pad, as well? Still leaves the grips though..
As far as I could tell the best option would be a Skinomi full body skin (which covers everything), or two screen protectors + clear plastic housing should be good too.

There wasn't anything like that for sale on Play-Asia, so I'll try to find something out on other stores, like I did for my OLED Vita. Can you share that ebay scalper page? I want to see more pictures of the system, if there are any.
