I saw the notification, but couldn't accept anything. It won't let me send one either. Sorry wasn't trying to ignore you.

There's not much point trying to put together anything that means adding new friends right now. Not sure what to do now.

:'( hope I can catch you later, bro.

I've been revisiting my reluctance to create a new character.
But if I did make a new character... It would be of the same class :\
Have to hit that raid multiple times a week to really gear up.

I'm tempted to do that, actually. I can't see myself playing as a Hunter very much. Also, my Warlock has been collecting dust ever since I got him to level 20-24.

I might as well roll two new Titans. I'm not sure, though. The idea seems a bit stupid, in my opinion.

Edit: I'll try to get the class-specific trophies before deleting my alts, anyway.

lol man the power of music... I used to listen to Hans Zimmer Mombasa all the time while playing REACH seems to work with this game too.. :p it just makes me insane :D

I just dont understand how so many people are so fucking terrible in PvP.

Lol that's me. I just don't play a lot fps using a controller. I'm much better on PC. Even then I need a few hours on a particular map to familiarize myself on it. I have about 3 hours total in the crucible and I stink.

Edit: I play rumble now that I have it unlocked. That way I don't have a team to let down. I also seem to get more kills on rumble as it makes it easier to figure out who the enemy (everyone)

you cant do them alone really besides Restoration

I solo'd the vex gate lord but I was higher than 22 when I did it. Died like five times, all in the spot right before the boss fight. Didn't actually die to him.

If you hang out low on the steps, he leashes back pretty far. The biggest problem I had was juggle was on.

Level 27 Warlock on PS4 looking to do either weekly strike for the coins or the raid. If interested add me. I'll be on in 10mins...

it's curious how you can marathon a raid with first timers up until the final boss, where it usually goes haywire due to the lack of a breathing period to explain the objectives and the immediate demand of each individual player to perform their roles. i'm relieved it doesn't have matchmaking for this reason. without communicating and patient teammates playing to each other's strengths, it just wouldn't be possible in a timely manner - not for the shooter crowd accustomed to 15-45 minute matches without much commitment or strategy. i suppose you can add waypoints, lower the difficulty, and then throw voice chat on top of that, but even then the coordination and patience (emphasizing this part) required to do it with people you have never played with seems like a potential nightmare in the making.

nevertheless, i hope there are more avenues in-game to streamline the clan feature and facilitate fireteam building to attempt these matches. voice chat in strikes and pvp should be a start.

Thanks for the replies! Thats what I figured and I'm nowhere near ready having just hit 20 but my friends are 24-28 and said they're going to tackle it tonight....uh...lol
Your team could open the door at least.
To stand the bast chance just make sure every has void damage secondaries and heavies. Everyone should also have a weapon (Suros) upgraded to high caliber rounds. Quickly strip shields with void damage and then stagger all the Praetorians with high caliber rounds. Praetorians are the only unit that can disrupt plates. Being able to stagger them mid-rush makes killing them much easier.

The playstation systems never had halo like games.

Also, crazy narrow fov, lots of verticality doesn't help. Tons of one hitter to abuse (Titan, looking at you) tons of lag (huge advantage for laggers) and you're set. Also, people are just bad until they get good. I play with a buddy, I just can't understand how he can't get negative KD ration every single game for 3 weeks. I guess he can't just not rush in, he can't read a radar and move, he can't use corner, he can't aim, and all that together makes... a mess.

I'm spacing what the Voidfang Vestment is but yes, I tried PvP for first time in full version of game and was sticking people :D I swap between fire grenades and fusion in PvE depending on if it's trash mobs or if I think there will be a lot of yellow bar enemies/bosses.

Voidfang Vestment is an exotic chestpiece that makes you spawn with a grenade ready, very useful for PVP, especially in combination with Gift of the Sun. I played the Xur roulette last week and lucked out. :P

Is there a trick to finding patrol missions? I picked up the bounty and have been running around doing public events but they don't count...so I guess I'm missing something? Sorry,I'm new to the game obviously :p

If you blindly rush in, then yea. If you take it slow and use the proper elements you should be fine.

Patrol missions are the green blinking beacons in Patrol mode.

Bungie needs to let us use glimmer or another type of currency to upgrade our vault like you can in Diablo 3. It's frustratingly small.

Once in patrol, hit your ghost and you should see icons directing you to flashing green beacons. These start patrol missions.

I see videos and hear about lag, but 200 crucible marks in I haven't had single laggy match and only seen one player lagging around the map.

I don't even have good internet and had way more problems with recent halo and cod games.

I am really enjoying this game but I am realizing that I need to make some friends if I want to hit some of the harder strikes and get the coolest gear.

I don't really have the opportunity to play a ton. Mostly in the mornings before work (which means no mic) and occasionally after the kids are in bed (and if my lovely wife is OK with me hogging the TV).

If you want to help me out, please send me a friend request
