I'm really tempted to post a little preview just for you, but as the first installment is only two pages, posting a preview wouldn't really work. Haha.
You'll just have to wait until these two pages are finished. :P

If it makes you feel better, I've worked on it for like 12 hours just today and yesterday. I accidentally drew like 30 minutes worth of final inks on the same layer as the rough pencils though, so I need to be done for the day.

The good news is that I've been picking up the pace a little bit, so even though it'll still take an absurdly long time for me to finish "just" two pages, it'll be a little less time than I would've guessed as of yesterday.
Comic superstardom is a long perilous road.

Also want see a directors cut, scripts and early panel work. :p

I'm getting all ready for Long Beach Comic Con. I'm so excited for it.
Mike Allred is gonna be there, so I should totally bring my X-Statix omnibus for him to sign.
Just kidding. I don't feel like destroying my back.

Also, Messi, there's gonna be a panel that you'd probably love:
Psychology of Harley Quinn: Andrea Letamendi has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She's a mental health scientist, speaker, advocate--and a Psychologist to Gotham's crime fighters. At Long Beach Comic Con she'll be joined by the superstar team of Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner as they examine the mind of the complex Harley Quinn.

Maybe after it's all done. Haha

Picked up Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe for $5 at a book fair type thing a friend dragged me to. So I guess I'll finally get to see what happens when a(n awesome) webcomic artist does something mainstream.

There was a dude today who brought that, plus the Solo HC. All I could think was "whyyy/how." I just brought all my singles, which added up to around 12 or so, which was pretty light compared to some people. They're super cool people btw

Hahaha. Oh geez.
So far the only things I'm bringing to get signed are Next Men #21, Hellboy LE Vol. 1, and Six Gun Gorilla (Jeff Stokely). I'm sort of tempted to bring one of the Unknown Soldier TPBs to get signed by Dave Johnson, but I'll probably just end up buying something at his table.
And awesome! I'm looking forward to meeting them!

Also, if I buy some prints there, how do I go about carrying them around the convention? Do they give you nice cardboard sleeves or something to keep the prints safe in a bag/backpack?
Mostly I'm just trying to work out how I'm supposed to go about bringing stuff to get signed and buying stuff while I'm there without it all getting messed up in my backpack.

They usually give you plastic sleeves but it's good to have a poster tube. I think i saw some being sold at some booth too.

I was hoping Stokely would have SGG copies but he only had his latest sketchbook that I realize now I forgot to buy. I dont think Dave Johnson had a table of his own, he seemed to have split with Tony Donley, fyi.

Ordered a bunch of stuff from IST on Wednesday and everything but one comic was picked and scanned.

Dammit, BPRD! Why did you have to be out of stock!? I bet my order would have been here by Monday/Tuesday if it weren't for that one thing.

Done. Haven't read either before, should be fun.

I haven't read The Incal, but Fear Agent is one of my very favorites.

Ah, cool. Thanks. I'm pretty sure I've got a poster tube hanging around somewhere.

Bummer about forgetting to buy the sketchbook! If you really wanted it, I could pick one up for you and mail it to you.
And good to know. Dave Johnson was at least selling stuff though, right? He's probably my all-time favorite cover artist (err, maybe tied with Simon Bisley's Doom Patrol stuff) so I really want to come back with something signed by him.

This is where it hurts to not collect floppies. I barely have anything to get signed. Haha

con haaaul. I remember buying a lot of stuff for some reason, but I guess not. Those random back issues on the right (Punisher Down Under, two issues of Dancer i never bought two years ago, a random SS ish, Memorial: Imaginary Friends #1 and Bryan Hitch's generic-ass Real Heroes, to see if it really is that generic) weren't even from the con floor, they were from a dollar bookstore across the street. It's mostly random indie stuff. And I guess I finally own a copy of Batman: Year One now, so it's an overall success

I believe he was, I didn't go up to him directly though. And nah, you don't have to get it for me, I only wanted to grab it because it was all he was selling (unless he's doing commissions or something) and I wanted to give him some support. Thanks though!

You can't just drop this gem of history without some back story.

Look up Violette Morris. The gist of it is, she was a racecar pilot and multidisciplinary sportswoman who French authorities banned from being able to enter competitions because she was a lesbian who loved wearing suits, so Hitler invited her to the 1936 olympics, and then she became a spy for the nazis, and among the information she stole was the plans for the Ligne Maginot, which was France's fuckoff huge line of defense, set along the German border, so then all they had to do is go through Belgium and then the rest is actual literal history.

Supposedly, this is going to be the New York Comic Con Variant of issue #41, and it looks pretty neat. I love the Ryu cosplayer & the Dr. Who joke.

^That's a neat cover =D
G.I. Joe #1 was really good. A lot more politics than I'm used to for the series, but then I don't think I've ever read a G.I. Joe comic before.

The 80s Marvel comics is quite good from what I recall and the G I Joe comics from the past 10 years were good too, being written by the same author as the 80s series.

Bolden for excitement.

Loving Edge of Spider-Verse. I'd buy ongoings of everything thus far. Especially Spider-Gwen which felt like #1 of an ongoing. The issues coming out weekly has been pretty cool.

Just read the latest New Avengers.

Would the X-Men really get stomped that hard by the Cabal? Noticed in one shot there was Jean Grey in her white Phoenix outfit. Figured that would've tipped the scales in this other universe a bit.

It was at its' best pre-Civil War. From Breakout to The Collective is pretty good. Some of the Dark Reign stuff was good as well, and I guess the first post-Siege arc is alright. It's not great on the whole.

I haven't jumped into any of the Civil war stuff. This volume I picked up from the library has Avengers Prime, Avengers 1-6 and New Avengers 1-6. Will read those but I have a feeling this run might not be for me.

Stark has been insufferable. I disliked him in Bendis' GOTG as well.

Wooooo. Just about to leave for Long Beach Comic Con. This is going to be my first Con experience and I'm so excited.
