Off topic..can someone refer me to the thread that hilarous picture originated from? I had it bookmarked at one time, but can't seem to find it now. I recall it having a ton of photoshopped pics that ensued some ROTFL worthy laughs..lol
I prefer Drake's aged looked in UC 4. Shows that he has experienced some hardcore shit during his travels. Add character to his face and humanizes him.

And yet he is, you know why? Because diminishing returns didn't start to exist on November 15th, 2013. It has been used to argue that hardware improvements are losing their value due to the lessened detail jumps they bring, as if broad strokes were good enough to paint a photorealistic portrait of a person. This is a stupid, insane, and just plain wrong proposition.
U4 looks more like an older version of U2 than U3... i like it! (U3 Drake is a bit too 'photo model' looking imo)
Also, i'm sure you can find a better quality pic of U1 Drake lol

That comparison does a good job of showing that U4 Drake still looks like Drake. Just an older and beaten down version of him.
He looks more like Nolan North now, but I personally preferred how he looked in the E3 trailer.

Haha, wow. Funny to see people discussing whether the UC1 footage was ingame, knowing how it's sequels and TLOU turned out.
I think the era of barbi doll looking character models will end this gen and will only live on with Japanese devs as they always make their characters be teens or some young people who save the erff or dont add hi res textures until 2 gens from now.

Drake looks cool as FUCK. I can't wait to see Sully.
It's so jarring to go back and look at the models from UC1, the lighting and shading and everything is so totally off. Didn't bug me at all back then, the game felt like a feast for the eyes back then, but now it looks glaringly bad. Really big leap from that to UC3, and this looks like an even bigger one.

This thread just reminds me that the Uncharted 3 Drake looks like what you would get if you took U2 Drake and asked a fashion photographer to go nuts with photoshop on him
They went a bit far with the overly perfect skin and dead inside eyes.
The same thing happened with the rest of the returning characters in different ways. Everyone just looks off in U3. Doubly so with Elena. Dont know what the heck happened with her face between U2 and U3. A botched Botox or something...

While I wasn't put off by the supermodel makeovers, I did notice the eyes turning into flat light colors for all the main characters. It's the same thing they did to Ezio. He had brown eyes, but in Revelations they were basically gold. Guess they wanted the look the light eyes have when well lit, but it just is plain obvious they have these dead flat eyes because they're always too light for the scenes and don't even look like real eye color anymore:
that still makes me really sad, she was perfect in U2.
I just hope they are able to work around everyone's schedule this time.

Hah, I hadn't really noticed that until now, but it's definitely true. I would say with UC4 they're going back to a more rugged look than the prettyboy nature of UC3 Drake.

At least they're all handsome. UC3 Drake is the only one that they could have easily casted Bradley Cooper for. Otherwise, people's suggestions throughout this thread work better, especially with the aging. But UC3 Drake made me want to shake one-time director David O'Russell and get him to cast his other leading man as Drake over the ill-fitting Mark Wahlberg, Bradley Cooper. Ideally, the film just won't happen.

Yeah, you're right - Working with someone for years on end on projects you both loved and having to part ways in the middle of what's seemingly the last game in the franchise you both helped create; who'd give a damn? No, you're completely right.
On a serious note, and this is the last time I'll say it - I wasn't trying to slander anyone or start anything, even if what I said was true, Nolan's a professional, he'd no doubt handle something like that (which I also said). Like all of you, I can't wait to play U4 and like all of you, I think it'll be something special.
