Pretty sure this, "There's over 50 tour events in the single player.", is about DC. Unless I'm missing something.
Whether the is rubber banding or drafting going on, the AI should not just drive past you on the final straight unless you made a mistake and you weren't going at the optimum speed. Doesn't matter if it is realistic or not, just basic game design to not piss the player off.

It's an Evolution racer. There will be rubber-banding, even if they explicitly confirm there's no rubber-banding.

Thrakier was speaking specifically about 60fps as it relates to visual movement, not interactivity, so the TV comparison is more appropriate than you give it credit for.
People will manage to be good at this game despite the limitations of 30fps. You might say the differences in most people's ability to play well will be insignificant.
This is what I'm worried about. Although the EGX demo was pretty good, it was probably on a low difficulty setting

So day 1 embargo confirmed. I really loathe day 1 embargoes. Coming off destiny, release/post release embargoes do not inspire confidence. It's only weirder considering people have the review copies and have had them for some time.

I'm playing GT, and I just took a quick count ...54.
I know there's 52 tour events in DC because I counted them when I was watching a stream the other day.
I'm looking forward to this almost as much as DC. I wonder if the DC delay affected their communications plans, or maybe they wouldn't have anything to talk about until now anyway and it has actually been helpful.
Wonder if we'll get forza and GT head to head next year?
Why does it matter when day one we can play it on PS plus?

I think from footage we've seen there are also multiple objectives to each event.
People have been earning the easiest trophy since the 10th September, so it is possible these are reviewers, certainly some are as they have their website in their tagline, so it has been in their hands for a while.

You have to assume he liked the game if went so far as to complete every single event.
Just trying to get an idea here, is it multiple stars per race then? And you might get 1 star for 1st place but retry it for the other stars?

Some tours have one race with a few challenges (stars) like *win race *hit top speed higher than 170kph *complete clean lap.
Other tours have multiple races with challenges too.
I also remember a day one embarga for a game called Transistor.
I'm always kinda surprised that, when I voice my opinion, it's all "bullshit" and I'm supposed to shut my mouth and someone should ban me and I'm a fucking troll and "preaching shit", albeit I have perfectly valid arguments. In the favor of the medium, at least that's how I see it.
And then someone posts a tiny gif, downsampled x100 where you see a 3 second scene over and over again and it looks great, it's perfectly fine to post the same "WOW AMAZING LIGHTING", "*drools*", "I have to masterbate now" post again and again....that is fine. Everyone likes it.
Just get the Plus version until reviews and impressions by Gamers come out. Then decide if you want to buy.
It's because you look like a one-trick pony. I'm sure you post about a lot of other things, but those posts are probably fairly mundane. Your insistence on wading into threads about 30FPS games and then lamenting the future you thought you'd get is far more noticeable. It essentially boils down to all your most 'bombastic' posts being on the same subject.
Same reason that I get a ton of shit for loving the Vita, even though there are cats on here far more blatant and blinkered about their love for certain companies.

Because it's actually perfectly natural for someone to write something positive about a game they're interested in or hyped for, as opposed to someone who objects to what they see, and chooses to remind everyone of it. Not that there's anything wrong with stating your reservations about something, but when you do it over and over again, repeating the same fucking shit over and over, you come across as nothing but a troll.

Its like a parent coming over into your brand new house and saying that negative comment you already knew was coming.
You know its coming. You know what they are going to say, but it still annoys the shit out of you when it is said.
There is little balance. There isn't ... praise for this or that and then a small little jab at the framerate. Nah its 10 posts in a row talking about how framerate is the key to great games. Neglecting all the GOTY's and GOTG's and such that are 30fps of course. Or less even.
Its like poking someone in the same spot. At first its no big deal. Not a problem. But after the 20th poke, it starts to hurt. Then it starts to hurt a f'in lot after the 40th poke.
Hats off to you, man. A handful of the later festival events in PR are stupidly hard thanks to the AI. That last eliminator event on Sugar Rush took me a couple of hours to beat, and even then it was mainly luck -- the second place guy must have randomly crashed somewhere when our routes diverged because I went from 2nd to 1st just a few seconds before the clock ran out. No desire to do that again.
I've watched so many F1 and WRC rounds on TV at 30 or (gasp) even 25fps! I never realised that it was so unrealistic to watch anything at those framerates, I guess everything I've seen bears no resemblance at all to what actually happens in real life.
Exactly what I was going for.
I've seen plenty of videos of F1 drivers racing each other for shits and giggles using a console whilst playing F1 2010-13 (or whatever). All have been 30fps, didn't see any of them complaining about how bad it handled because of the framerate (or if it "felt slow"). But GAFfers are obviously in the right on this one.

You can ignore him. It's a great feature and I use it a lot. You'll be surprised how well it works because trolling behaviour is very repetitive and predictable.
Not only that, but it's the most annoyingly designed site I've had the pleasure of using in quite some time. "Need to use the scroll bar? Fuck you."

There's a limit to how many times someone needs to voice the exact same opinion in every thread for every racer that isn't 60fps (I'm not sure where this limit is exactly... I just know it's a long way before where you're at now). You really don't need to state it anymore. you've done it enough that even without your post, my mind would fill in the blanks on what your post would have been every time I see a 30fps racer being discussed.
Maybe you should just make a "30fps sucks" thread where you can go wild and vent all your frustrations, calling out every game in one go. I also don't like seeing one gif, only to have it quoted a million times with only "OMFG! So pretty!" accompanying it, however at least these posts are relevant to the topic at had, rather than trying to change the topic in every thread to "lol 30fps".
