K awesome, 8 void kills left then we can go destroy phogoth and the damm wizard. Hopefully the last 8 kills come easier then the last 92 lol

Im still sitting at work in my office. Itll likely be closer to 6.5 before im online. Also, I will likely have a 3rd to help out and one of the likelies has already finished this challenge so that should help

The line that really got my eyes wide was this:

“and ALL the origins were homogenized down to the one originally used for Exo characters.”

This sheds so much light on why the opening of the game feels so wrong if you do not start out as an Exo. Wow. How half-assed. Went through the game feeling that so many things were wrong or unfinished. It’s at least nice to have some affirmation to what I felt.

Makes sense, considering the "discovery" of the Awoken in the Reef, even if you are playing as an Awoken.

Nice! Be warned.. Atheon's Epilogue is difficult to handle. I've never had an AR with such a crazy fire rate.
Nah. Even without upgrades recoil is fairly easy to counter by compensating with subtle stick movements. With the stability upgrade, the thing is a laser-beam and doesn't really need any recoil-control at all, as it then pretty much has no recoil. The super-low impact seems to be its greatest weakness...

Definitely worth keeping for any Void Burn missions or for the Vault of Glass or Vex missions for quickly stripping Minotaur shields / killing Oracles though. Statistically, Atheon's Epilogue seems to be identical to the Doctor Nope Vanguard Auto Rifle, just with the unique 'more damage to Oracles' upgrade and Void damage.

All good, im surprised I did void damage in 2 hrs and less. Lol

I just received a 'user content not allowed for your account' and something about messages not allowed for my account when starting the game up. Any ideas?

Nevermind, looks like PSN is being dumb.

It's shit stat wise but damn do I like how Manifold Seeker set looks with Raid shader, I equipped it just for some PVP today for some weird reason.

Dropped me from 29 to 24 lol.

Wish the stats matched it's badass looks :( I want to use it more often!

So I like playing with my local friends a lot, and I also do play with you GAFers from time to time via DestinyGAF EU 5 and adding people from there to PSN friends, but I just have this feeling I'll never be doing the raid. I'm level 27 and technically speaking I should have tried it by now, but I'm not sure I'm good enough at teamwork through voicechatting, especially not with a lot of people I've never talked to before.

Has anyone got the same feeling? I have 2 local friends who are in the army right now while I'm just working in my sabbatical year, so they're only available in weekends but we usually have fun playing still... but 3 is obviously not enough for the raid.

Any tips or tricks you can give me from your experience on doing the raid? Do I have to be constantly yeling in the mic over my team or is it fine when if I only communicate on-point for the lack of a proper expression.

I'm a bit shy which is really annoying, but I am not putting Destiny down until I've tried all it has to offer at least in its vanilla form.

I am having terrible luck with PSN today. I have been trying to get online for a little over 4 hours now with no luck.
I just read on N4G earlier, a headline saying that PSN, Destiny and CoD Ghosts have been hacked by DDoS or something... again.

Relog into psn or restart your system. This happens to me sometimes and I'm not able to access my guardian edition content.

Have a mic and listen when people explain things, and ask questions. You do this and you're golden.

My sunsinger. Haven't seen this helmet often
Looks awesome. This is the type of stuff I want to see more of. Really unique stuff that can really separate us all. Cause as it seems many of the exotics and legendaries are all known. I want endless amounts where I keep saying wow, haven't seen that before. Cause in the end the only reason we are playing this game is for the gear and weapons and to make ourselves unique as possible. Hopefully Bungie adds tons more and not just through paid dlc.

Yep, this was the thing that caught my eye the most reading through that post. I play as an awoken. It felt so weird, so messy, that my character was meant to be surprised by the existence of the awoken.

People are calling BS on that guy's credibility, but if you just read it, it all makes so much sense.

2. Doctor Nope It's a bit crap and that's why I love it. It's so much fun to be able to empty out a 72-bullet clip with no respite and trying to aim is it is like taming a wild horse (not that I've ever done that). It's basically a crazy person's AR.

This is my favorite description of any item in any game ever. If you have ever used a Doctor Nope, you now this is 100% accurate. It really is like trying to tame a wild horse. Unfortunately it's also my best primary weapon if I want to use a Pocket Infinity.

Well, that sounds pretty simple. I was expecting that everyone on the team would constantly have to keep each other informed of where they were gonna take point and what they were gonna do next and such. Nevermind, I'm probably over-complicating it x)

Right, but I wasn't saying reviewers didn't take anything off because of the poor story. I was saying that I wasn't sure if a good story would've dramatically improved the scores.

Fair enough. I do think the reviews would be better, perhaps by a quite a bit, if it all held together in a great story, though probably not dramatically.

I keep thinking this myself, but I never do.

What I love about games is they can tell a story in an interactive way. Carving off all the story to something like the cards on b.net strips them out of the game and makes it more like reading an encyclopedia. And I just find myself with no motivation to go dig that stuff up. It's the Destiny equivalent of having to go read a book to understand the game. I'd even read a good hunk of them if they were in game, as-is. But tucked away at b.net I just have no interest sitting down and plowing through them. This stuff needs to be in the game.
You can read them using the Destiny app, right? I'll probably just do it that way, considering I use my tablet a lot.

Looking for a raid tonight at 6pm PST or later.

I'm up for it. I'll hopefully be running a Nightfall an hour before that so I think I should be done with that by then. I'll see if the other people I'm playing with want to run the raid as well. I'm also a 27 Hunter. PSN is MrJellyBean.

That looks amazing. I didn't know there were non-legendary/exotic warlock helmets that looked cool, because everyone I've found after 70 hours have been nearly identical to eachother.

For the most part we've made it to the boss room every time, but the minotaurs or whatever you have to kill before he pops up ALWAYS wipe us out. I've tried getting up to the cheese spot in the room where the video says he can't touch you, but I can't do it. And I'm not sure what you'd do about the minotaurs even if I did get up there.

There's another cheese spot that if you have a group is safer. Walk straight off the ledge, land safely. Turn right about 70 degrees, and run to the wall. Look to your right. There should be a place where the rocky outer wall of the arena meets a stone column. There's a crack you can run into there. It's actually a cave that is fairly deep, and appears to have been designed intentionally with cheesing this boss in mind. Have everyone run in the cave. Have two people stand towards the far back of the cave and the other person peek their head out to launch rockets at the boss. As long as one person is always at the back, you literally can't lose because he can't be hit, and he can revive others.

I'm much more curious to see how people are going to cheese Archon Priest and Valus Ta'aurc when they come up on Nightfall.

I fucking hate that the encounters are so overtuned that the only way to beat them is just cheesing, with bungie even going so far as to design intentional cheesing spots into the arenas.

If anyone is interested, I'll be around @ 7:30MST (9:30EST). Hoping to do last raid boss, Nightfall, weekly on any difficulty but easy. lvl 27 Titan, PSN Fixed.

I can get Thorn, Bad Juju or another Invective. Don't really care for the first two. Could always get another Invective and break it down? What do you guys think?

Thorn and bad juju are getting a buff.

I have bad juju bounty and am just letting it happen as I play normally.

Trust me when I say, you shouldn't fear this at all. Once everyone understands the encounter (they aren't hard after you try them a few times), there are very few parts where communication is important, and it's really not even you who has to communicate (e.g., when teleported at the last boss, any of 3 people can yell at where they were teleported to).

I go through all that bloody trouble to get Pocket Infinity and then I get Plan C from a legendary engram the same day. RNGesus works in very mysterious ways. I do have a Fusion Rifle for each damage type now though. :D

I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to beat some nightfalls. Wiping and starting over is pretty brutal, and while these last 2 were easy, as you say, not all can be cheesed.
