Once upon a time I was good at WoW raiding. I haven't got completely used to the small fov but I'm getting there.
I've done 3 Tiger strikes this morning (Spain) and I've got a bunch of blue engrams. I dismantled all of them (and the greens) and got a lot of materials I can use on my 2 Legendaries. Glad they improved the chance to get , before I was always short of mates. Now I just need to look for a Helium and Spinmetal farming route.
Go to class. You'll have plenty of time after that.

Shame they have Arc damage modifier.
Yup I was lucky enough to land the arc version.
The only weapons I seem to have a hard time getting hold of are the solar ones. Not a single level 20 one so far.
well,it depends really. say a boss can kill you in 3 hits.
with current damage he dies in 5 minutes of constant shooting,with new damage in 3 minutes.
Now,dodging his attacks for 5 minutes is not really that different to dodging them for 3. it's still the exact same dodging and difficulty, just for a shorter time.
I actually need to do this as well. Would you mind linking up on PSN for this? (and anything else in the future)

As mentioned before theres a group of rock in the Northwest corner when you enter. The wall beside it lets you jetpack up and there are two little ledges that give you a vantage point. Have someone with a sniper sit on the outer one (preferably a warlock for self rez) and then someone to rez him the on the cliff behind him. The third person hangs out below and picks off adds and keeps the boss of the top cliff guys, though there is a good chance that guy may die.
It was pretty effective but our warlock had IceBreaker so that helped ha ha

So, I hit level 28. Don't really feel like there is anything left in Destiny for me besides occasional PVP. Not interested in the out of game nonsense to do raids or nightfall strikes, so maybe I'll come back when they inevitably patch in matchmaking for those modes like there should have been from the start.
Honestly, it will take you hardly any time to find a group. This "out of game nonsense" is just posting on a forum asking for a group. You post in this thread anyway, may as well give it a go.
The Raid is the most interesting and enjoyable content in the game imo, and there are plenty of players for you to group with.
As well as this thread Destinylfg.net is very easy to use and I've had responses within minutes every time I've used it.

Personally, the raid is by far the highlight of the game. Especially now that a lot of people are good at it, it can be a fairly painless process to get through it with a decent group.
I hate the lack of match making too but the LFG website has always worked really well/easily.

I agree with this, and the best part is that the people you will encounter will be half decent and actually know what they're doing, I prefer this to matchmaking.
As if you think RNGesus is bad, you haven't truly encountered his brother MatckmaKING
I know it's only a perception thing really since purples are the only truly valuable stuff and they're now harder to find, but the more consistent steam of engram rewards and chance of things like his happening make the strike playlist feel much more worthwhile.

Had a better group last night for the Raid. Took about an hour and a half to beat all Templar phases, get both chests, get passed gorgon's lab, give Atheon a few shots.
We will be picking up tomorrow or saturday night. Save point on first part of Atheon.
I got Praedyth's Revenge after Templar
Impact is low. Clip is small.
"Enemies explode when killed with precision shot"
"This weapon deals extra damage to Oracles in Raid"
Meh overall. I already have a legendary sniper. I guess I'll put this on the shelf.

Out of the easily 50-75+ people I've matched up with through the LFG site, there was only one guy who turned out to be a jackass.
We just booted him and found a new guy within 2 minutes.

Yeah, it's time like these that trading is missed. I also keep getting engrams for special and heavy weapons at a much higher rate than any others.
Got the legendary sniper rifle "The Supremacy" yesterday doing one of my Queen missions. Suffice to say this thing is beastly.
I got my second Supremacy yesterday. It has void damage, while my first has arc. Still no ship so far...
I've got 9, but it's disheartening to keep getting hoods and robes. I'd just like the ship, RNG! Though I would mind a solar Supremacy.
Did they up rep gains for strikes? Or are they still stupidly low?

Rep is still low. Should be 100 at least imo.
Still worth it for the marks and engrams though.
You can hide in a couple of spots.
You don't need to though. With 2-3 decent players and arc weapons it's a breeze.

After getting 3-4 each of worthless helmets and chest pieces, I just quit doing the Queen's missions.
But that sniper... with potentially any of the 3 damage types... damnit.

Still low. They should bump it to 50. The Nightfall strike gives 400 and with a good group it isn't exactly 16x harder.
It's dumb that it only pays the same rep as VIP missions. But you're right atleast we have decent rewards now
Do the Queen Snipers come in all flavours? I thought it was only Arc.
Yup. There's a spot at the front right, under the platform which gives you free shots at the boss and keeps you away from adds.
I'm sure someone will pop the video up.

Ah you're AST... Yeah man, I should get back in town tonight so it should be doable. I've got a level 28 friend as well so that should make things easier.
And the last straw...
Last night I realized that all three factions take Crucible Marks for payment. So, if you play multiplayer, you have four legendary gun vendors at your disposal. Fucking four. But if you only play coop or single player, you only have one legendary gun vendor (and only if you preordered). Combine that with my one exotic bounty, which requires a +500 K/D in PVP with a specific element, and I'm done.
The gameplay is fun enough from moment to moment but every underlying system is complete shite. It's almost like Bungie sat in meetings trying to think of the dumbest possible answer for how to do progression, coop matchmaking, loot, forced PVP, multiple currencies, vendor upgrades (at the character level rather than the user level), loading screens...
I've had enough, and I wish I hadn't given these people $90 for whatever this is supposed to be.

Idk why but I'm getting 99% rep bonus for Queen's bounties right now. Already 1/4 to rank 3. Pretty happy I'm gonna end up completing it but I'[m confused as to how its happening. 30% from the three items and another 20% from Nighhtfall doesn't add up.
And yes, its 99% not 100%. I get 199 rep for a 100 bounty, 149 for a 75 bounty, and 99 for a 50 bounty. Its very odd.
