I need a closer look at those character models....and this is at half fidelity

I wouldn't say that, the taller characters were touching the lifebars.

That's because there are two life bars in TTT2 and they take up a lot of screen space.

TTT2 is as far as you can go in Tekken,I really don't think I want the camera to go even farther away from characters.
 
I would love it if you could only bound if you got a class 2 launcher or in very specific situations, and all other combos were short.
 
Tyler2k just made a very keen observation, doing the Rage art makes you lose your rage.

Anyways, the recycled art for T7 is actually making me think T7 is a possibly cross gen game. Not having to make brand new outfits probably lets Namco recycle the T6 costumes for a potential PS3/360 version of T7.

Law's f,f+4,3,Nina's Uf+2,1,Lars f,b+2,1 still bound in that game despite their not being any traditional bounds in the system.

I really really doubt they are keeping old CG portraits from TTT2 for T7.

Nice. I like that trade off. Use your Rage Art, lose rage. Should add a fun risk vs. reward aspect.

And GAH! I would be so freakin' upset if T7 was a cross-gen game. I want a true next-gen 3D fighter with no compromises. Hopefully they're just keeping the current clothing designs because the fans and Namco are happy with them.

Game looks really hot imo.

Holy hit sparks! Haha, next-gen fighters gotta have hit sparks everywhere, awesome. And dang, the lighting in the background! Such a beautiful looking game and it's not even done yet.
 
Nice. So this is 50% visual fidelity?

I guess the other 50% could be enhanced effects like hit effects, sweat, cloth physics, better and more environment destruction particles etc.

Could we see an increase in character polygons?
Obviously this is a pdf and iq is bad, but the models almost seem the same as TTT 2.



I imagine that there will definitely be an increase in character polygons considering it is next generation and using UE4 unless they are some miracle workers/programmers. At least I would really hope so. That would be kind of embarrassing imo. We are using UE4 technology, but our characters have the same polygon count as the PS3/Arcade version.

Not sure who I feel about the new mechanics since I am generally not a fan of comeback mechanics, but I will reserve judgment until I see it in action and find out more about it. Could be fun and really add to the game.

Yeah, the lack of new outfits is disappointing, but I am insinuating(hoping) that is because it is still in it's early phases.

Wouldn't less bound moves just mean that players will just use the same bound moves and combos more?

Bummer, no Nina, but that was to be expected. She's never there for these early location tests. Maybe because she's such a technically complicated, intricate character, I don't know.

To everyone bitching about P1 outfits still being the same.
Harada wanted to establish default outfits as iconic looks from TK5 on. He's stated this so many times. Can we just get over this already?
They will not change! You can look forward to some new 2P, 3P costumes though.

Old CG renders are loc test place holders. Has always been this way.

Fuck, still bummed about Nina.
The Japanese R/L fuck up is cheering me up, though. I cannot believe this still happens. RaughOutRoud
 
As long as this game has my mains Law and Feng Wei I'm good. I can't wait to see some live gameplay for this I will definitely be leveling up my game in Tekken to prepare for this.

It was good at the wall.Especially in T6.

I guess that was really it's only good use as a bound, lol. But it's not a big loss. He has other good bounds.

So basically almost all of the characters from T6 except Miguel, Bob, Lei and Zafina.

Unless that Lee is supposed to be Lei.
