A great trick for grinding for bolts is to visit the very first ship combat section and re-play the second mission over and over by killing everything with the nuke ship weapon (if you have that already). Do that a few times and you can get weapons like nothing XD! Doing the same thing for the first mission in the last space combat level is really great too; lots more bolts to get per-mission completion. You have to shoot the nuke at the center mountain thing (should be to the right of your ship when the level starts). Do this enough times and you will be swimming in bolts :).

I was 5 hrs in but I've already gone through it a milion times back in its days. That said, I don't want to restart it now...

BTW, I downloaded the complete R&C1 save from cloud, then laucnhed R&C2 again and now the old save is nuked too.

I guess the saves are tied somehow, so if you have the three separated games be careful.

Yeah, and I have no problem with that on day one if it's a game I really want or that I feel will offer me hours and hour and hours of gameplay. SK:SV doesn't look like a game I would lose myself in for hours and hours -- hence, I'm disappointed with the $40 price as it's too high for me to jump in day 1.

I think people are overreacting when they say Natural Doctrine is the most difficult thing ever. Once you get the gist of things, story missions proceed smoothly. I can see how it's dark soulsy in the sense that you learn from your errors and not once did I think it was frustrating or unfair. I just finished the fight against
the girl's sister
on normal.
Didn't expect the girl to die before though. Brutal.

I wanted to get MGS as well X(; it was that or the combo of Silent Hill and Sudiken :l...

Never really got into MGS 2 and 3 (and I got that late last year for my Vita thanks to the JP Sale), so that made my choice all the more easier but still; would have been nice to get it :l....

That really is odd :l..... I guess due to the trilogy being tied to the same 'game', it messed up the save file set-up (could explain the crashes in Ratchet 2 as well; the game loading parts from the other games instead of only Ratchet 2).

Sorry about your save though :(....

Go get MGS1 then. Remember to transfer from PS3 to Vita for this one.

I have MGS1, 2+3 and PW all in one folder...with the Ys games.

...But all I had was 12 bucks to use :l; used five to get SotN and the other five to get Silent Hill/Sudiken, with the last 2 bucks put toward the PSN Card on Sony Rewards. Even if I wanted it, can't get it now :(.

Again, I'm cool with that due to not being that into the series (know they are amazing games but playing both MGS2 and MGS3 for a half hour a piece and neither really appealed to me sadly :(.

Will get MGS latter on though :); this holiday I plan to put 50 bucks into PSN and get any PS1/PSP games I still want (Pariste Eve 1 and 2, MGS, G&G PSP, J&D: Lost Fronter, Midevil Resurrection, Dead Head Fred, ect).

Get more cash put it into your account you'll make those $12 back in novemeber.
 
Maybe not the best place to ask. But I been having this issue lately, were lock icons show up on my games. When I boot the game it gives me the "No you can't use this application" message. Wait a few seconds, icon goes away game work fine.

I've done the activate as primary and restore licencees. Is there anything I can do to remove the lock icon completely?

Restoring Licenses didn't help? huh, that's strange. Have you tried Customer Service?

Just gonna be copy pasting some stuff from GFAQs since I was still there when I played this.

10 adds improved weapons for Soma/Alucard and amazing souls for Soma, as well as the best weapons for Shanoa and godlike spells for Charlotte. It also adds the best subs for whip users and decent armor for them (outclassed by 11's armor.)

11 adds great souls for Soma and improved weapons for Soma and Alucard. It adds the best armor for the whip users, too. Shanoa gets 1 new spell and charlotte gets jack.

For more expensive ones...

7 adds the best accessory for physical attackers, and the best armor for the girls. It also has a rather high valmanway/winged boots drop rate.

8 adds a great cloak for whip users and a good soul for Soma. it also has a good valmanway/winged boot drop rate. Also, it has the best accessory for more magically/sub-based characters. Also it adds a good spell for Shanoa.

9 adds better speed boots than winged boots, improved Kaiser Knuckles/Alucard Swords, and good souls for Soma. It also gives Maria and Yoko a healing spell sort of, and gives Shanoa one of her best spells.

I think they're all worth it. just weigh the pros of cons of money and owning stuff.

As for the character DLCs, it's actually your choice since it's kinda subjective whether which belmonts you like as well as your preference for returning characters like Maria.

Edit: Gonna have to warn you though. The game is grindy and is exponentially more fun when there are other people playing with you. Just like any Hunting game really.
 
Haven't used my Vita for a while and just wanted to charge and update it for my flight in two days.
The problem is, it doesn't charge correctly anymore. When I connect it, the light goes orange but after a short while it goes dark again. Tried a different outlet and rechecked all connections.
The charging cable is a little bit destroyed but it worked the last time I used it totally fine and I haven't really touched it since I stopped using the Vita. Also, it does charge for a little time and I don't move the cable around in any way but the Vita just stops charging.

Anyone had the same experience? Any help?
This sucks so much, I hope my beloved launch unit is not gone :(
Guess this is what I get for not buying any Vita game for 4 months and not playing...

Go to a games shop and ask if they have a spare cable you can test it with so you can see if thats the problem? If so, buy the cable. I reckon it's highly likely that's the issue.

This happened to me too :(; my Vita would randomly stop charging and I was really worried about if it was busted or not X(. What I did was put electric tape (the black tape you find in most hardware stores) on the parts of the cable that seemed lose/worn out along with rebooting the system in recovery mode and selecting 'Repair Database'.

After doing that two times, things worked perfectly :D! Though it would be best to check with a GameStop or something if that really is the issue or not....

Hope this helps you out :). Trust me, tape fixes EVERYTHING XD! My homes vacuum had its cord get worn out a bit and once I put some electric tape on that, it worked perfectly :D.

In all seriousness, this series needs more support. Estival Versus and Deep Crimson are still in the wind when it comes to being released over here, AFAIK. Also, costumes bought in Shinovi Versus transfer to Dekamori/Bon Appetit.
 
Metal Slug 7/XX has some nice ideas...and he makings of a good game.
...it just doesn't feel like a good game to me though. Deleted from my Vita. I think I'll get Metal Slug X on my Vita...maybe.
 
Deciding whether I want the Vita version of MGS HD. For anyone who has it, how are the controls? Obviously missing the shoulders will change things.

It controlled well in my experience. L2 and R2 functions are mapped to the rear touchpad, but I didn't really find it intrusive.

I don't remember, unfortunately. But if I remember correctly, item and weapon selection can be accessed using the corners of the touchscreen. I believe interrogation and peeking are mapped to the touchpad.
 
I am finding I like the ps4 controller a lot more than my xbox 360 controller, is it plug and play with the pc or do I need to search and install drivers for pc support?

Agreed. I'm playing on Lethal and am doing fine. Still loving the game. Don't mind the story, either, neither great nor terrible.

Odd. I get all my codes from them instantly. They used to mail them to me and it would take a couple days (but fast) but now it's just a code on the receipt page.
 
Really craving some Shinovi Versus at the moment, but I think I'll hold off and wait for the English version. Makes the wait a little sweeter.
