Thorn's bounty is awful. The PVP part is mostly a grind. A string of good games will get you a big chunk of the way. Void Fusion Rifle or Shotgun on Control is the way to go.
I'm stuck on the next part, in the super powered Strike.

Looking to try the Vault of Glass later on normal if anyone's interested, we need three people on PS4. We've never done it before but we're all level 27; two warlocks (sunsinger and void walker) and one hunter (blade dancer). We were looking for around 11 est so just under two hours.

So I was doing The Thorn bounty where you have to get 500 Crucible points with Void only, and was getting my ass handed to me. Know it sounds arrogant, but felt it was because the rest of the team wasn't organised enough and kept leaving me to fend off too many enemies in Clash.
So my cousin said if I didn't complete it in half an hour or so, we could just finish the rest tomorrow, but I was determined to get it done tonight. I join Rumble instead in the hopes of doing better, and go 20-6, 18-7, 23-4 and 22-3! Managed to do it! Phew, what a rush.
Anyway, anyone want to finish the Thorn strike where you have to kill Xyor? We need a third!

Not sure about PVP but a lot of people swear by it for everything else.
Eh, I don't think that'll happen. The color quality of the engram = the min quality of the item you get was a good idea that I can't believe made it through the Alpha.

I solo'd it on this weekly.
Without killing anything in the big room before it, run to the first area where you'll lose the game if you die. Don't enter the room. Instead, go back to the big room where you skipped past all those enemies -- they'll count towards the bounty now, and you can respawn. Kill as many as you can before restarting. You'll need void damage for those little bastards.
With a nice fusion rifle with void, you should get like 20 kills each game. It's a grind, but doable in a few hours.
4 at the moment.

I honestly believe Bungie didn't think anything through. The Vex Mythoclast is the MOST broken thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Can't wait for Advanced Warfare where you earn things, not get lucky in getting them.

Hard mode raid for the PS4, at the gatekeeper part. Almost beat it earlier but destiny dced on me. Need level 29s+, hopefully people who have ice breakers and gjallehorns

If you have the Razor's Edge modifier for your Arc Blade, you can send out an energy wave that will eat groups of enemies up while keeping you at a safe distance. If Arc Burn is up I'll use that until I hit the boss.
I use pocket infinity, but very tempted to buy the 77 wizard..
I honestly don't even see a problem with the vex mythoclast being so damn powerful. Almost no one is going to even have it considering that you have to do the hard raid and on top of that hope that it drops. Considering the fact that a whole lot of people can't even raid on normal it doesn't bother me if those select few get an overpowered gun.
