am i the only one who actually gives a shit about tekken's story?
Bandwagon whore.Basically. Makes me want to play King.
Few questions, been out of town, trying to catch up. Any mechanics info on supers? Looks like damage scales similar to juggles? Supers as an ender look scrubby as hell for some reason. Also saw steves get ducked. Any insights on tracking of supes; I assume properties are fairly character dependent aside from armor?
Bandwagon whore.
.Me too, high five
Anyone got a gif of this move in action?
There's no way that's not a bug.... Get a 50+ frame stun off a half-life combo where you get a guaranteed unscaled low hit or ground throw mixup? The ONLY logical way I can see something like that exist is if it's a bug.
A Psychic Force reference? Here I thought I was the only person to remembered it existed.Psycho Force 2012 is all about 3D positioning and meter management, as is Gundam vs Gundam
Well the characters I usually use are in, so that is good news for me.

Now, I do too.am i the only one who actually gives a shit about tekken's story?
I wish I could like this post. And I'm happy for T7 footage, because it got me playing the older Tekken games out of nostalgia. T5Oh shit! You can count frames?! Can you also duck electrics on reaction like Jaguar King?!
You even own the older Tekken games? That's amazing man! I commend you for your insistence on purchasing them even though they were, as you are saying here, exactly the same.
Maybe you should give that second stick to a person that knows better so he/she can play with you and smarten you the hell up.
Honestly, I don't even know why you chose to respond to what I said there seeing as I was talking about a demographic that apparently has nothing to do with you.
Now, I do too.
I like fighting game stories/lore, despite the fact that most of them are insane.

I used to. I certainly didn't play for combos and mechanics but once I discovered/joined TZ, I did get addicted to trying out and creating my own combos in practice mode.
I used to. I certainly didn't play for combos and mechanics but once I discovered/joined TZ, I did get addicted to trying out and creating my own combos in practice mode. But once Tekken stopped evolving artistically and started bringing in corny characters, I stopped caring. I was invested in the Yoshi/Dr.B/Jack connection and all that but I never thought Dr. B's daughter would be imagined as a half pink, half red headed, asymetrical anime dress wearing, chainsaw weilding, head giving flying android. I'd accept the android aspects if the cartoony design was replaced by something more realistic. "Bubu realistic and chainsaw weilding don't go together especially in a game with fighting bears and angels". Spare me, there should still be borders and guidelines to adhere to.
Haha I certainly play less. Old me would have a new gen system by now. I certainly would never feel worthy for praise but I appreciate the nod. The "something else" is attributed to not being involved or in the know with high level play so you won't see me using dash canceling and all that jazz.I can personally vouch for that. Despite your family man duties when I played you in T6 your Yoshi was something elseHope your bundle of joy is treating you well (3 years later
)
It may be 2015. Though, I hope its this year. Like December 2014 or something.
TTT2 only took one year for its arcade to console transition. I would really like that sort of timing again.
Then again, Pokken is also releasing in Japanese arcades in 2015 so I'd imagine they want to separate those two releases.

Edit: As much as I would have loved to play more TTT2 with you folks, I really felt inadequate trying to learn a new character despite liking the few tag assault combos I managed to pull off.
Is there actually a chance arcades get it this year? It's already October. I don't know. The mechanics do seem pretty polished.
Hope we get Jaycee instead of Julia again, I need my vagina attack.

Definitely looks like it's unfinished. The environments and lighting look pretty good but the characters look all over the place. Some look next gen others look like they were ripped out of TTT 2... Still looking forward to this game.
I have a feeling that Julia will return back to her T6 self while the real Jaycee (won't be her name) will appear as a new character.
Did they mention if some of the Rage Arts were placeholders?
They look pretty hohum but seem pretty much done at this point.
I've always seen the opportunity for the content to take itself seriously and go to the next level of storytelling. With three failed movies someone else seems to think so too. You've been warned don't come in these threads trying to make this content better. Fear the elitism!!!
So what's the consensus on Claudio?
Design-wise, to me he just looks really boring. Plain face, terrible tattoo, dorky (in a bad way) hair, clothes are okay I guess. Haven't seen much of his moveset but nothing from what I saw wowed me. I did like the blue fire hands though.

Guess I'm just used to SNK/Capcom usually trying to come up with iconic supers for their characters.
I don't know, even the SNK/Capcom route is often just a super-powered version of another special move or a bunch of specials chained together. Especially glaring with ranbu style supers where the supers are just cycling through all the attack animations the character has.

Kind of hoping that those supers are placeholders, they all look pretty boring. Not like something special/cool but rather just a quick string of some existing normals that they didn't bother putting much thought into.

LOL. Also, the fact that it is so easy to pull off just makes it all the more worse.
Not at all! Tekken is one of the few fighting games where I actually care about the story.
