Oh my gaaawd!!! :lol
When is parity never forced parity?
Holy shit
Doesn't look good IQ-wise to me.
And that's a relatively easy scene to anti-alias.
Black Flag already demonstrated Ubi's ability to obtain 1080p results on PS4. I'd assume people would judge Unity accordingly.
Saying out loud that you intentionally gimped one platform, in order to avoid online debates? Hoo boy that's not a good look for the game or Xbone.
What a stupid decision by Ubisoft. Forced Parity is never good for the consumer.
If Ubisoft wants to force 900p/30fps on all versions, they should do the same with the PC version, otherwise they are hypocrites.
Darn it, I had already pre-ordered this game. But I will vote with my wallet against stupid corporate behavior.
Speak with your wallets, folks. No excuse for this shit.
Send a tweet to @assassinscreed with #PS4NoParity in there. It won't make a difference but it'll be fun.
Agree. Sony had exclusive agreement with Bungie and MS was still able to get it up to 1080p. If people believe MS paid them to hold it at 900p, Sony would have done the same on Destiny.
It happened with Destiny without it having to mean MS is paying anybody off. Don't see why this has to be a different situation.
Cmon ubisoft ... Lock it 900p/30fps on PC too ... Do it. You know, to avoid debates n stuff
The PC version of AC:Unity is done by Ubisoft Kiev...
Come again? I only own a PS4 and PC, so not sure what you are implying here. As it stands, PS4 is getting more sales on games that have better versions yes? Perhaps they want to avoid that.
Ok so why it's 900p on xone? CPU it's the same.I'm more interested in the CPU comment. MS and Sony should have put in a little better CPU, not these netbook jaguars. We're a year in and devs are already severely limited by the CPUs, especially for these open-world games with tons of NPCs.
sounds like, that is a bad thing.
werent people upset about Ubi not being clear and direct on other issues? Now they have clarity and directness and people are upset about it?
That was tough to do because theres really no reference for it, says Morin. But it creates a new layer of gameplay where you can mess around with AI. Thats one of the things that feels completely different about the game compared to what Ive played before.
And therein lies the heart of the next-gen experience in Watch Dogs. Its about player agency. Its about action and consequences. Its about choice. Its about a dynamic and ever-changing world thats a full simulation, with NPCs who react appropriately in a city that demonstrates a full range of weather, time, density and naturally occurring situations.
The single-player experience is largely untouched, aside from the density of Chicago therell be fewer NPCs in some areas, but not in a way that affects the core gameplay.
For the PS4 and Xbox One, Microsoft and Sony both opted for a semi-custom AMD APU a 28nm part fabricated by TSMC that features an 8-core Jaguar CPU, paired with a Radeon 7000-series GPU. As far as we know, the PS4 and Xbox One CPU is virtually identical, except the Xbox One is clocked at 1.75GHz, while the PS4 is at 1.6GHz.
It happened with Destiny without it having to mean MS is paying anybody off. Don't see why this has to be a different situation.
