Are you fucking with me, dick? Dont play game about that shit!!

EDIT: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS

Hinata was always overrated I thought really.

Also, glancing at One Piece, how in the hell has Nami gone from this,

Has she eaten the Breast Breast fruit or something?

There's an in-joke that because Oda works so hard, he can't be with his wife & family, and that he's so horny for her it shows in his artwork.

While Nami's changes are insane, I'm just glad that the series hasn't gotten as perverted as Kenichi or Fairy Tail.

It was implied that Kakashi will be Hokage first tho. That said, the last chapter is going to be some flash forward shit.
I believe I can see the character for "6" on Kakashi's back in that one illustration for the next movie, so unless the manga has some flash forward that goes even further than the movie, no Hokage Naruto...

How likely it is for a Naruto sequel to be made without Kishimoto, or him in a supervisor position?
As said earlier, I think a "Naruto GT" is likely. Basically, Kishimoto would just provide some initial sketches and ideas, and the animation staff would take it from there (the next movie being the first step).

Pretty certain Nami's design evolution/influence is based on his wife. There's a Nami cosplay of her somewhere. Due to nature of his vast cast he tends to base a fair few of characters on real people.

His wife told him to make her breasts bigger. It's in an interview.

And also...thought this day would never come. The series does need to end but to start the battle we've been waiting a decade for and announce it's only going to be 5 chapters? Along with the resolution? Wondering how he's going to do this and make it satisfying.

Damn. I've been following this manga for over a decade. Part 2 has been ridiculously uneven, but mostly pretty bad with the occasional competent moment over the past ~3 years. Nonetheless, Naruto is connected to many, many good memories for me. It probably should have ended a long time ago, but either way, saying goodbye to these characters is going to be sad, and there's something incredible about something that's been with you through so many chapters of your life finally coming to an end.

Well, the most recognizable are the Admirals too, which is always cool to see who he uses for each when there are new ones. I just wish there he was better at drawing a variety of women.

Weird, I didn't expect it to end so soon.. I thought that there would be at least 10+ chapters left :\. We'll, lets see what other kind of plot twists are thrown in to finish this up.

Bleach should have ended when he saved Rukia from execution in soul society. It's been downhill from there.

Bleach should have ended when Rukia stabs Ichigo in the first episode, we wouldn't have gotten the mess it eventually became.

Blargh. I guess that means Kaguya was supposed to be the "final villain". What a letdown.

I wonder if Kishi will be done with Naruto for good? Or will start a new series in the Naruto universe?

I imagine that the anime will probably start a new series (the upcoming movie seems to confirm this with Naruto grown up). There's no way they'll just let this IP just die considering how popular it still is.

Hinata does nothing.
Hinata is nothing.

Seriously, to place such importance on such a bad character. Same tier as Sakura, but you can at least pity Sakura.

She doesn't even have a character other than being shy and thinking about Naruto 24/7.

And I guess, boobs.

Damn what can they do in 5 chapters. I'm pretty sure
naruto and sasuke
just started fighting but I haven't read 694 yet

Who knows where Kishimoto will go with that, but I can see a precise, condensed fight making for a suitable conclusion. The last thing this manga needs right now is another dragged out affair with all these twists and turns. Keep it simple and pure. Let the significance of this last battle speak for itself. :P

Gaara vs. Deidara is a favorite, and that lasted, what, 3 or 4 chapters? Quality > quantity.

Fixed that for you.

Btw, does anyone remember the what the chapter is in One Piece, soon after the team reunites they go to Fishman Island (the underwater Atlantis-like island)? That's about where I'm at and I need to catch up.

I'm curious as to how the final sequence will be handled. I miss Part 1.

Btw, does anyone remember the what the chapter is in One Piece, soon after the team reunites they go to Fisherman Island (the underwater Atlantis-like island)? That's about where I'm at and I need to catch up.

Chapter 603 is when they submerge.

Fixed that for you.

Fishman Island (not Fisherman)

And it's the first arc following the time-skip. The time-skip begins at 598 so that's a good place to restart and remind yourself.

Dude, Seriously? One Piece lacks a real goal? ok...

Did you read Infinite's post earlier (I think it was Infinite, anyway). Basically, my problem with One Piece is that the show has this giant nebulous goal that they're supposedly going after but they're basically just going about with crazy hijinx/shit instead of stuff happening towards that objective specifically. Oda doesn't really ever paint what the big picture looks like despite having a start and end point. It's pretty frustrating as someone who started reading OP when it first was serialized in Japan. I've been with the series a long time and it still feels like it never really goes anywhere in regards to the premise it setup originally.

I don't really have a problem with all that gallivanting around but it's frustrating when you set goals and kind of mill about it. HxH does the same thing as OP does in fact, set the hero a goal and he then goes on adventures as a result. However, Togashi actually finished that and then is further expanding the story from there. =P Makes me wish Oda would fucking just let them get there and then springboard into bigger things >=|

I'm still not sure I understand what you're getting at...how does Oda not paint the big picture? We've gotten multiple references to the nature of One Piece, every arc paints more of the backstory of the world and hints at what the WG is hiding. You act like there are arcs where crazy shit happens and nothing new is learned. Every arc villain or antagonist ties into a previously established character in some way. It's never just "here's a random villain that exists in a vacuum and has no broad significance after this arc"

And Togashi didn't finish anything. He literally opened up a new can of worms that hasn't even begun to be fully explained/explored. He's actually introducing more questions without answering the ones we already have

I already made a post about this and the big picture has been made very clear. The manga is leading to a worldwide revolution of against the current world government. A battle that'll engulf the entire world that is the end game for this manga, One piece is the spark. The current world government got into power due to events that occurred within the void century which they purposefully removed all traces of this likely involved conflict with those carrying the Will of D. It is also highly likely they used the ancient weapons (Pluton Posiedon etc) to gain control of this world.

Roger knew of this history and he told WB of it (hence their conversation). He orchestrated the great pirate age to sow the seeds of the coming battle that'll engulf the entire world. Whitebeard basically tells us the end of the manga that's why he makes his speech on the mid point. "A man will appear with the history of the world on his back and declare a battle that'll engulf the entire world". Luffy is obviously the centre point of all this as a son of the leader of the revolutionary's future pirate king and likely obtainer of One Piece which is the spark. He also has a bone to pick with the marines specifically as Akainu killed his brother and has already helped ransack all 3 Marine Strongholds. Obviously Luffy has to grow stronger to reach the apex and the various countries he becomes involved in will naturally largely be allies for the coming war.

It's not a nebulous goal it's very specific and clear.

#dead
Man I miss Chinese Electric Batman and the rest of Darker than Black.

Betting the last attack Naruto uses is a kancho.
Nah, it'll be *that* jutsu.

And by *that* I mean an Oiroke no Jutsu but with clones of himself, because it's obvious they are the OTP.

Yeah. When afterwards I realized they just rehash the same arc again, but with DBZ tropes all beefed up (the fact alone that everyone all of a sudden could fly, lol wtf), I stopped reading and never looked back.

It was a matter of time but damm I'm going to miss the wheekly chapter after all those years.

Jup and while doing this the still go on these crazy adventures and makes you laugh a lot. This is why I love One Piece.

In regards to HxH, he's talking about Gon's goal of finding Ging.

I agree with you about OP, it has a pretty clear endgame and every arc is building up to it. The current for example has Dofla who has huge ties to the world nobles and we have appearance of the Revolutionaries finally taking action.

I really doubt this. One Piece has been going on so long, what makes you think it'll start messing up now? There hasn't been a huge decline in quality in One Piece that we've seen from Bleach and Naruto and it's been published the longest.

Because he's getting into much higher powerlevels with the upcoming yonkos and further explaining how haki works.

the calendar duration of the war spanned practically the entirety of the Dragon Ball manga from start through the sparing of Piccolo Jr's life by Goku (or, in anime terms, the entirety of Dragon Ball)

Nov 20, 1984: Chapter 1 of Dragon Ball is released
Oct 10, 1988: Chapter 194 of Dragon Ball is released. (Chapter 195 timeskips 5 years later and begins the Saiyan Saga)
Duration: 1421 days (inclusve)

Nov 10, 2010: Gaara's Speech/Chapter 516 of Naruto is released
Aug 29, 2014:
Kaguya
's defeat.
Duration: 1389 days (inclusive)

LOL the final battle build up/fallout/epilogue being like 10 chapters

Is the anime progressing 1:1 to the manga chapters? I feel like now that the endgame is decided they can really pack the quality in and pick up the pace a little.

I agree. OP is really good and I learned to enjoy it, at firts I didn't like the art style but then it changed. The problem is I can't see it ending at all, there are so many things to happen that I don't really know. I enjoy the adventure but I want to see it ending.
