Games you remember, names you don't

There was a game we had on our way old PC, I think it was on Windows 95 still. There was a 3D side-scrolling shooter where you'd pilot a futuristic spacecraft-like thing firing lazers and stuff, and then I remember coming up to a boss fight. It was multi-legged, and the game shifted to rotating around the boss for the fight (IIRC).

A customer asked about this, and this is all he remembers.

- PS1 game
- Mario Kart-esque racing game
- Cartoony look
- He only clearly remembers boat racing, not sure if there are other driving types (like go-karts).
- He remembers a map that would appear on-screen between races to show your process.

He swears it's not RC Revenge or super-obvious stuff like Crash Team Racing. He thinks he would recognize the cover.

Any leads?

Could it be Choro-Q Mariine Q?

Yeah, I think he's talking about one of four budget games released on PS1.

XS Airboat Racing
ATV Racers
Miracle Space Race
Rascal Racers

This was originally released as a single game called Merlin Racing on a failed console called NUON.

uh ok. there is a ps1 kart racer i think i vaguely remember and i think i may still have it. I remember enjoying it though.

I think had a story mode, had a fat bird riding around on a tri-bike as a playable character, and i think it involved stones as power ups.

Probably, Chocobo Racing.

It wasn't SOCOM, nor Red Faction. I cannot remember when it took place but I believe you were fighting terrorists. The game played similar to Dealta-Force, but it isn't that. Unless there are different variations of Delta-Force. Trying to find out what game this was is killing me.

Edit: all I can remember is one mission. I was entering a rock tunnel, it was raining, and night vision was available.

One of the games of Rainbow Six had a similiare first misson as far as i can remember. İts night, you start behind some vehiclea, its raining and you enter a tunnel. On mobile so cant check.

I just remember small bits of this game for PC, released maybe in mid-90's. You play from a first person perspective and can shoot down pedestrians if you like, I think, and you can be in a subway or a bank. The graphics is what you would expect for that time, similar to other FPS games like Duke Nukem 3D and Doom.

This has always bugged me.

There was a rally bike game on PS3 (probably 360 and im hoping PC too) I played a demo of and it had just this arena type thing you could mess about it in. No objectives just go over jumps and what have you.

Does anybody know what its called?

MX vs. ATV Reflex?

I have such vague memories of this game and my mind has probably morphed them into something else entirely but here goes: It was either a PS1 or a PS2 horror game. I know that much, since my uncle only ever bought Sony consoles. I used to watch him play this game where you walk around a foggy and cold London-esque town with corridors as EITHER a little girl OR some other person while a ghost of a little girl appears from time to time. I don't know, man. I remember one screen, it was a fixed camera, but I remember one screen had a bridge of sorts in the town and there was water flowing behind it down into off-screen nothingness, like a waterfall. Or I don't remember. I don't know.

It wasn't Rule of Rose, I'll tell you that much.

And I'm 77% sure it was a PS1 game, 23% a PS2 game.

GOOD LUCK

I'm trying to remember the title of an NES game. All I know is that it featured horizontal split-screen multiplayer, with action moving from left to right. It seems like it was a platformer of some sort. Is there even anything like that for NES?

Silent Hill?

City of Lost Children? I grabbed a spot of the video that's early in the game in a section with water.

Definitely not Silent Hill, but City of Lost Children might be it. I seem to recall the girl having a red dress of sorts now. Thanks.

I immediately thought about Bonanza Bros, then i discovered it has never been published on a Nintendo machine...

Im thinking either Xenophobe or Spy vs. Spy

My fuzzy memories aren't helping me with this one: it was a sidescrolling shmup for PC where you played as a girl, and there was possibly co-op. I'm not certain but I think the title may have been "____ Saves the World" or something like that. I think played it sometime back in the late 90's or early 00's.

If anybody has any idea what it might be, I'd appreciate it.

Shmup as in run and jump (Contra) or flying (R-Type)? Remember anything about the graphics, 2D, 3D?

Flying. The graphics were 2D sprites, and like Parodius in that everything was cartoony and you played as the characters rather than spaceships.

Sounds like a PC doujin shmup, there are lots of those though. Check out Gunner's Broom, Gochamaze No Arashi, Bike Banditz, Agoteus, Trouble Witches.

Tomak: Save the Earth, Again?

I only knew it as a GP32 handheld game but apparently had a PC release too.

I am looking at some gameplay now. This game looks like its the one. I am not 100% sure. My memories are very vague, but I remember a few things that are similar on the game, like the map on the pause menu and the scope on the box art.

So, I had a nightmare last night of this gif, and I can't quite remember what was going on here.

I remember something about Arachnid Games, but the game isn't released yet. Any leads?

I'm honestly just glad I sent the gif to a friend on twitter so I could find it again. Had to scroll back to late June on my timeline

- flash game
- early 2000s
- black and white
- 2d shooter
- several guns
- bullet time
- zombie mode

I wanna know name and if it was popular, had sequels, where are the developers

- On Sega Genesis
- Pretty much dinosaurs fighting in a city
- Buildings were destructable, and I think there was a health bar
- Felt like a fighting game if I recall correctly

help me in this one
i think its a sega genesis game or maybe a NES game

i circle thing that bounce from the edges , you have to find all the lines that hidden in the grid
you find them by hitting them , and they bounce you back
once found all the bouncy lines , they shape like something ( slimy face , 4 petal flower , etc )

in advanced levels , there is a hole that when you touch it you die
you can't move the circle thing , but you can make it change the direction when it pass some dot in the grid
there is timer , when it almost over the music change to something like that

That sounds like Clu Clu Land.

I can't believe I got the name from my first try but I believe it's Dead in the Water:

Oh snap! I've been trying to remember what these were called for the longest time, thanks! Had a blast with several of these games back when flash was all the rage.

yay!

This game was good! Very good!!! For its time, and even for today standards!

In fact im kinda amazed that it didnt generated some sort of a whole generation of clones. The basic idea is great, but there´s a lot to be developed from it.

Like this: i had a lot of fun when i used to play it juggling weapons. Toss one weapon into the air, shot everbody with another weapon, ditch the empty weapon and get the one falling from the sky. It was AWSOME.

If i could work that "unity" thing right i wish i could develop a 2d shooter out of this

EDIT: i got the Madness game. But i cant get it to work under Windows 8....

Genesis game(?). It's a strategy game, you start as a prehistoric tribe advancing through the ages of civilazation and battling other tribes.
