I want a Pokemon Snap or survival/exploration style game set in the Galápagos Islands. Maybe even add a sci-fi twist or something that deviates from the history with Darwin's research.
Having visited those places... I'm down for this. They are amazing and mindblowing and it's the best trip I've ever taken in my life.
A Pokémon Snap-like would be too easy though. Most of the animals there had few predators and didn't evolve a fear of human the way many mainland animals did, so they just lay there for all to see. xD The Equatorial jungle is a different story, however. I took a few treks in the Amazonian rainforest in Ecuador, and animals have so many predators that they hide constantly and are really difficult to spot. I'll always remember our native guide spotting animals I'd have never, ever spotted myself even if I knew where to look (everything from a small poison dart frog to a barely visible sloth hanging really high around the treetops).
Canada... Says no one ever
I would!
Playing a Native American hunter or something living out there in the Canadian wilderness, preferably pre-colonial times, could be really cool. Canada has amazing nature sceneries and wildlife.
And I was disappointed that the Montreal level in Deus Ex: Human Revolution wasn't a full-fledged hub like Detroit or Hengsha. That would have been really cool to see, especially since the game was developed in Montreal so it'd have been likely to be accurate.
Edit: for The Llama, yes, I am a Montreal resident.
Edit 2: oh, I want to see more games with an Angkor Wat-like setting. Eternal Darkness did it, and Dark Souls had a level with similar architecture but in a fantasy setting with tons of lava and it was really cool (even if gameplay-wise it kinda sucked). But other than that, I feel it's an underused setting. Same with ancient Egypt and Mesoamerica.
