I enjoy the gameplay structure of souls games, and while I don't seek to be PUNISHED, some sense of danger and accomplishment are central to the experience. If this game is casual it'd be a pretty big knock against it.

He said it's an easier Souls game. It depends on what kind of heavy armor you're wearing. But man, he screwed up a few times and took extremely little damage.

Even if it's not as challenging as Souls it still looks good. Gameplay seems very solid and I really dig the art direction. Like Darksiders only a bit more restrained.

Ok after watching some more and skipping around a bit I'm sold. I'm a huge Souls fan and while it may not be on the same level it still looks really fucking good. I'm still not getting a PS4 until Bloodborne (unless Taco Bell gives me one) so this will have to wait, but I think I'm definitely going to play it.

Lip sync be damned this looks fantastic. Just my type of game and runs well on the PC too from the looks of things.
Think I'll get this over SS Overdrive and the evil within later this month.

On topic: Still can't get interested in this. Its the kind of game that I probably won't buy even if it turns out good. Just too much of a "we played dark souls then made this game" vibe. Dark Siders had its unique world and aesthetic going for it, at least.
As someone with a big backlogg and not enough playtime it sounds awsome.

Why are you so against multiplayer in a game like this? A nice duel mode or PVP arena would be awesome with this game. I'm not saying it has to have invasions and whatnot but organized PVP? Would be perfect.

look forward to it. Hell yes, this is on my hype seal of approval. I'm going into this with just as much combined optimism and skepticism as when I play a Souls for the first time.

Well, this is like the very start of the game. Those are supossed to be the easiest enemies. In the last third of the five hours he starts to fight harder enemies and dying in a couple of hits by some of them.

Because what sums up the Souls games is the difficulty?

The player looking for a challenge can do optional bosses and try to beat bosses in an optional and harder way to get better items.

We'll they're obviously taking inspiration from the souls games in terms of gameplay but it doesn't try to be exactly like a souls game. I don't think that it's a norm for videogames to allow player to create their character. The game just wasn't made with that in mind design-wise. I'm pretty neutral towards the main character. I don't hate him nor particularly like him, yet.

His wording didn't help. It was pushed back from 28th to 31st for Oceanic/Europe.
