What a bunch of piece of shits. I hope the offenders have to compensate everyone affected by this.

And why the hell are questioning the words used in the OP when barely anyone will bat an eye if this was used on black people.

You may not have explicitly stated it, but it's pretty obvious you wanted to see if white people would deem the riot in Keene in a better light than Ferguson so you could pounce and try to expose them as racists. You were baiting, plain and simple.

In order to say I was baiting, you have to first say that thug is the politically acceptable way of saying nigger. If you can't do that, then I was obviously using the word thug properly. Also, I never said a damn thing about white people. why are you making this about race all of a sudden?

And by extension of pointing out hypocrisy, you get to indirectly (or directly, if you choose to pursue it) paint them as racist for not calling out white people as they called out black people. Maybe you'd be justified, but baiting is baiting. All you'll end up doing is causing resentment, and that will never help your case.

Thug is not the politically acceptable way of saying nigger. There is no politically acceptable way of saying that. Do some white people use it as code for nigger? Sure. Is that what it means every time someone calls a black person thug? Not at all.

You didn't have to say anything about white people. Your intent was obvious.

You know....isn't calling someone out for making a bait topic still falling for the bait? If it bothers you that much you could just pretend like it didn't happen and post like you would. I mean the word thug would apply to these people, so it's not like the topic title was in any way wrong.

Also, it's the OP even stated anything about what the perceived notion of a thug is and what people's expectations should have been.

From his posts here it seems like he's taking issue with the calling out aspect rather than anything to do with thugs.

Like I said, I'm not denying hypocrites are out there, but I don't see this thread exposing any.

Maybe.

I've called black and white people thugs before but it's a word slowly going out of usage for me and a lot of others. I don't think Ferguson or this Keene incident is something I'd use to describe thugs or that the two situations are similar even. Arseholes is a much easier word to use for people like the ones in the OP. The majority of these people were arseholes. Ferguson riots had a small minority of arseholes in it, a lot of which were radicals from outside Ferguson, but for the most part it was just people fed up with the system. The two aren't comparable.

Anyway I'm typing too slow to keep up , so Ill leave it there.
 
Must be something in the culture that makes these people do this. Might be the music glorifying violence or they're fatherless. The white leaders need to speak out and condemn these actions. Someone call Cardinal Jessie McJackson.
 
First time I ever heard "thug" to refer to someone that is black is on gaf, but I can see how it would apply, same as "illegals" now means "Mexican" since "wetback" would be too harsh.

For me growing up "thug" meant someone hard, then when I got older it meant someone who was bumbling criminal wise.
 
We need to take a long, hard look at the culture that enables this sort of behavior. It's unacceptable in modern society, and it's like a cancer of sorts for our children.

Seriously. Why aren't celebrities like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry or Miley Cyrus speaking out about these problems? They really need to be better role models for their people.

Seriously, these people want to be treated like equals but look how they act. Looting and rioting, that's why they're treated the way they are. If they want to be treated better they totes need to earn it.
