I still like him more than all of the new male cast combined. He was cool, especially when he turned Hydra.
The new guys range from wasted potential (Mac, Tripp, Koënig) to absolutely meh (Hunter).

One of the easiest comic outfits to replicate and they still miss the mark. Haha. Why not just make the dark gray parts white at the very least?

MCU SHIELD doesn't do colourful outfits. Even Steve Roger's Super Soldier costume in Brubaker's Cap wasn't as dark as it was in the movie. And forget about getting more/brighter purples in Hawkeye's costume, or gold shits or whatever they are in Widow's.
I understand superheroes in movies getting to have their bright and colourful costumes but it makes zero sense when you're talking about a covert ops spy agency.

I wouldn't call it stupid. It'd just be impractical.
Orange is also very impractical, but look at how the Deathstroke costume on Arrow looks.
They could work in some white highlights in there if they wanted to, but I think they're taking their cues from the SHIELD uniform from the movies, which did away with any of the white web gear.
The show needs to break away from the black tactical wear. For an MCU show, it's boring.

Yes, that happened. Multiple gay "sex" scenes as well, and that's on Prime Time ABC w/ top ratings as well.
Fitz's Twilight friend zoning and subconscious physical admiration for Mack's "hard body" might be foreshadowing his exploration of other options for emotional connection.
But I see an awkward moment where Fitz makes an unintentional advancement, Mack goes
"whoa buddy... I may be a friendly guy, but I'm not that kind of friendly... how about we keep this relationship strictly professional"
and Fitz totally confused goes defensive "bu...but...I'm not homosexual...."
imaginary Simmons says "don't pretend like it didn't cross your mind... he does look delicious doesn't he?"
Fitz "I am not gay!!!"
and this begins his descent into crazy which eventually leads him to working with Hydra.
But is HYDRA an inclusive working place.

I really feel like Season 2 has justified me sticking by this show though it's fight with puberty as it discovered itself and found it's true voice.
I really hope it keeps pushing forward at the pace it has been. And I hope good WoM brings the viewers back (AoU trailer will hopefully help). So much good comic stuff to watch on TV now a days, and I personally think AoS is now leading the pack instead of trailing it, which is good as there are 2 freshmen efforts this season that it also had to top.

I agree for now, though we'll see how Arrow and Flash progress through the season. I love the show when it knows it's a spy thriller, not so much when it falls back on its relic/monster of the week habit.

-The opening bit felt a bit rushed. Hydra tried to kill a bunch of navy guys with undercover agents poisoning people at a wedding? I guess it was just exposition to explain that there are anti-Hydra factions out there.
-Whitehall was introduced as one of Hydra's "new" leads. For a guy who's been around for a long time, why would he be "new"? Recently promoted?
-Did anyone think the Hydra helmets/goggles/glasses looked really weird? They remind me of something but I can't place it. Whitehall's glasses? A commercial?
-Ward didn't get a lot of screen time but it reminded me that for a lying traitor he's not used to being betrayed himself. His reaction to Skye telling him Raina played him was priceless.
-Simmons seemed happy to see Tripp, but I guess when you're undercover a long time a familiar face is very pleasant to see.
-Hydra has no roof security? No sensors, alarms, or some sort of anti-aircraft capabilities? Yes they're just renting/occupying an office building but considering the amount of personnel and work they do you'd think it would be better protected.
-I don't envy the person who has to remove all the Hydra logos from the wall.
-The cutaway from Bobbi approaching Bakshi was interesting. At first I thought it was laziness from showing another fight scene, but having her as a triple agent makes sense too.
-No Agent 33 in this episode. Incapacitated, dead, or they just didn't have the time/money for her?
-What kind of double agent reports in during lunch unless it's a dire emergency? There are much safer times to do it.
-No way Raina could get that kind of picture resolution on an iPhone 4S(?) camera especially at that distance. Also good to know that the Hydra mailing list is readily accessible.
-Good contrast in seeing both sides of Skye's dad. The picture shows a doting father, and the bodies in the back room reveal his monstrous side. But shouldn't they have swept the area for bugs/cameras?

This is perfect, I was just watching Rise of the Cobra last night and my god...
On topic though, I do wish they'd make Hydra soldiers more competent/more of a threat. It's pretty annoying to see an organisation that brought down SHIELD have such incompetent lackeys.

-Whitehall would've been behind-the-scenes while HYDRA was within SHIELD since he was a known member of WW2 HYDRA and has some kind of anti-aging going on with him. That or he was in some kind of hibernation.
-Sensors and Alarms are likely but they wouldn't necessarily blare outside the building. Anti-Air wouldn't make sense since they are in hiding and wouldn't have been able to build such devices exposed or hidden. And the SHIELD airship was camo'd and didn't actually land on the roof (no room to land there either).
-An extinction level event is most certainly an emergency. Simmons had no way of estimating how soon HYDRA could get their hands on the Obelisk and they wouldn't necessarily have her work on the project when they did.

Best episode of the season so far. I absolutely LOVE Bobbi Morse and what they are doing with her character, even if I think her new suit should have some grey accents just to keep it canon-ish with the comics.
Really, I'm honestly shocked by how much I like her, but even more by how fit Adrianne Palicki is for the role. She's tall (no silly Black Widow wedges!), physically imposing yet sexy, and looks and ACTS like she could beat your ass blue for leering at her. I've made fun of her acting abilities before, but she's rather fine as Agent 19.

Edit: The lack of Hawkguy in the MCU and all the lost potentional makes me sad, though.

General question that may seem a bit silly but those that are extremely familiar with the comics... is there any sort of naming convention in terms of Agent numbering? Is it connected to something like importance or skill level? Does it correlate to when they joined? Or is it just random?

Haha this is the only thing that's bugged me so far. Compared to the Hydra agents in TWS the ones in the show seem like they should be working security in a Bond villain's lair
