Laural is really easy to hate. She doesn't do much for the plot and pretty much only makes bad choices. She really is a poster child for a dislikable character.

It's weird, because I felt she was super competent and totally justified in a lot of her arcs in Season 1.

Then Season 2 happened and she took a level in dumbass. It's basically all Tommy's fault. Beta to the end

There's no redeemable values to Laurel at the moment for me. At her worst Skylar was at least being a dick due to having reasonably good intentions in BB. Everything with Laurel so far in S2 has basically made me think she was hit with a severe case of dumb between seasons.

I must be the only one who doesn't really have a problem with Laurel. I mean she's not my favorite character or anything, but she doesn't outright piss me off either.

oh Laurel just dissapear for some time. Thea is really improving has a character, don't ruin it again. Also did felicity boss made tease about lazarus pit by saying lazarus disc?

I'm interested in her arc as I feel it is starting to pay off. Diggle's baby, Oliver and Felicity? I couldn't care less about that pointless stuff. Even Thea has been a waste of time for most of season 1 and 2, with her ridiculous development into a ninja happening off-screen. However, she seems to be getting lots of love for reasons that are beyond me.

I just started watching this show and Im about halfway through season 2.....I dont get it.

Whats the appeal here besides "cuz superheroes"? (not saying that is not a valid reason though!)

The way these people talk and act, I swear that this show is produced by Aliens who have never seen regular people interact with each other and only write the script in total played out tropes. I have correctly predicted the dialogue before characters even said a word at least a dozen times.

The mood swings are incredible too.

Season 2 spoilers:

"Hi Mrs. Queen, I know I could be destroying my career by telling you this but YOU CANT TESTIFY because of this information! Im so concerned, please STOP." and in the next scene shes practically going for the fucking jugular with no hesitation or remorse.

Im really only waiting for Deathstroke to start really doing stuff but Im getting very impatient.

Is there really need for season 2 spoiler tags in the season 3 thread?

I've never seen an episode of this, but it looks pretty cool from the marketing/ads/etc. Is it ok to start now on S3 (Hulu), or should I go back to season 1 somehow? How was season 2?

With any advice I give for watching TV shows: You need to start from the beginning. There's so much lore and history built up over the past two seasons that you can't just drop in.

Season 1 has the better overarching story and characterisation, but takes a while to get going. You'll be hooked by the midseason finale. And episode 16, "Dead to Rights", is flat out amazing.

Season 2 starts introducing more extreme elements. It's a bunch of fun and brings in a lot more flavour from the comics. Some of the writing and character motivation gets a little preposterous but it all comes together in the end and the final 7 or so episodes are fantastic.

Season 3, the showrunners have said they're trying to bring in the mystery of season 1's storytelling with the spectacle of season 2. I guess we'll find out if they deliver.

I agree that they won't cancel it.

I think people should be more concerned with CW cutting the budget as they did with Smallville and Supernatural.
Ah yes. While it was lovely to experience Darkseid as a plume of smoke or dragons as some rough looking dudes wearing leather, I must say that that did no favors for those shows.

I think Arrow could pull off low budget better than those, though, since it's more grounded. I'd hate to imagine what could happen if they cut the funding on The Flash.

Probably not, just playing it safe.
In Arrow threads, if its aired its safe to post it, you just spoiler things that haven't been shown yet (later episode stuff, previews etc)..

Re-watched the episode, did Laurels face look way over the top for what she got.

Edit.
Actually (had a quick rewind) its not over the top - its backwards, in the fight she got 2 full punches very clearly into the left side of her face, then in the hospital the main damage is all on the right side of her face.

Seeing as The Flash show is called "The Flash", will Arrow ever get its named changed to "Green Arrow"? i know Ollie doesn't like it, but dammit i want my Green :D.

I really hope so. It really bothers me that they're still not calling him that. Maybe they'll start calling him that when Roy starts getting some spotlight, so the media needs to differentiate the two of them. The "Green" and "Red" Arrows.

They could start soon, now that suddenly half a dozen killers have bows as weapon of choice.

Oh yeah. Was anyone else caught off guard when Ollie started blasting people with a gun? Like, at a fundamental level, I know that Green Arrow really has no problems with guns or any other projectile weapons, but this show is so Batman-like, that it looked really weird that he was using a gun.

And I guess his no-kill mentality goes out the window when he's on foreign soil, too.

To be fair, nobody died on screen.

Them japs had it coming! /s

But seriously, I think he didn't kill them. He fired on their probably bullet proof wests and I think the arrows were more dangerous then the bullets were.

It's not a strict no-kill rule like Batman. He'll kill when his or someone else's life is in danger and there are no other alternatives (he ran out of arrows).

Speaking of which, that bow made out of a bed post was awesome.

This wasn't exactly on the level of situations in the comics when he was forced to kill. I mean, these guys have legs to shoot at. Didn't really like a threat were he'd need to to kill. I mean, what is this "Don't kill, Roy, except when it makes things easy or you're shooting at japs. #PearlHarbour, bitches"

Now that you mention Nyssa just showing up in the Arrow Cave, I really thought they'd have a new set for Team Arrow HQ this season, what with all the Slade showing up and Clock King messing it up, and Verdant no longer existing. Guess their budget doesn't stretch that far :(

They must have one REALLY good generator.

Can't wait to see what OMAC will be. Maybe something to do with ARGUS? The drone looks like the one that Waller was going to blow up Starling City with.
