I wasn't really a big Gamecube fan I just had the pack-in controller and the Nacho King. The other two were left by friends. One of them has a transparent back so there's that.

Yeah. I've played smash 3ds online with my brothers and cousins, and it was horrible. I would only 1v1 instead of playing 4 players online. I'm fine that the 8 player multiplayer is local only.

4 real players and 4 amiboos players = 8 in game players.
So, you've no worry if you don't have a lot of friends.
