lmao they clowned laurel AGAIN. but daaamn girl. was i the only one who noticed how much better she looks when she confronted oliver at the end. minus the bruises of course, but whew, she looking fit.

thea is skilled, so lame how she still doesn't know oliver is the green arrow tho. like you'd think malcolm would have brought that shit up during a dinner chat or something.

This is one of those shows that you know is never going to be nominated for an Emmy for acting or writing and the less you think about it the better. The more you critically analyze it the less you'll probably enjoy it, if you don't find it at the very least fun to watch then it's probably not the show for you. It's not a "smart" show, it's more of the "junk food" sort.

Well, I laughed when Laurel got one in the face after her try of being vigilantism. Whoever wrote this episode has too much fun with beaten up woman.

According to IMDB the writers were Erik Oleson and Beth Schwartz who I think is the one primarily behind the Arrow Writers Room Twitter.

This wasn't exactly on the level of situations in the comics when he was forced to kill. I mean, these guys have legs to shoot at. Didn't really like a threat were he'd need to to kill. I mean, what is this "Don't kill, Roy, except when it makes things easy or you're shooting at japs. #PearlHarbour, bitches"

Well, shooting them in the leg could still kill them femoral artery and all, hell giving Roy the ol'arrow to the knee probably wasn't a good idea either.

"Mr. Amell, thoughts on Sara dying, and writers trying to make Laurel the new Canary?"

laurel's got it in her, i'm convinced after this episode. she looked like a damn buffoon when she went after that dude but still...there's intensity there.

sara was mad athletic but she always just looked "cute" as black canary. laurel will look meaner when she gets in the zone i bet.

plus...stunt doubles.

This. I was actually really impressed with her showing in the last episode. She got rekt, but in an impressive way.

I just powered through Season 1 to the latest episode over the past 3 weeks. My brother kept recommending it to me and I was like, meh. He told me I could skip season 1 and go straight to season 2, but I don't like to start things halfway through. So, I started from Season 1. Even from Season 1, I was totally hooked! Absolutely loved the transition between current day and 5 years ago events. Love how this was kept even in Season 3, with him in Hong Kong now.

I'm amazed at the amount of casualties in this show. Yao Fei, Tommy and Malcolm (suprise!) in Season 1 (and half of the Glades). Shado, Moira and Blood in Season 2 (and half of Starling City). Sara going out in Episode 1 of Season 3. That was a shocker! I'm surprised Walter is still alive.

Oh, welcome back Barrowman. He's damned good as Malcolm Merlyn / Dark Archer. Seems like things will be great in Season 3....although I'll miss Sara.

Lovely series with lotsa eye candy!

I thought it was a fun little thing that Felicity was reading the "The Streak lives" website that Iris from The Flash is running before she said she'd go to Central City.

Having two series being properly connected like this is actually awesome.

Well, Shit! that seems to be the general consensus of everyone in this thread
Not everyone. There's more to Laurel than a lot of the other characters in the show.

Hell, they had to write in that Thea spent 5 months off screen training in order to make her relevant. But yet Laurel has a more substantial arc and better reasons for becoming a vigilante and she's hated.

I like how Oliver called his dad a hero and said he killed himself to save Oliver from starving.

Well, oopsie, forgot to tell that he murdered that other guy aswell to save his own son. I guess that doesn't matter.

is like laurel suddenly forgetting how to kickass, when on season 1 she did it

Just finished watching Season 1, and it didn't grow on me as much as I expected it to. I have a hard time really liking Oliver, and I didn't expect the "new enemy to stop each show" format. I'm liking it, and is gonna watch Season 2 - is that more of the same or does it get better? I guess it's not about the list anymore.

Season 2 is a lot better.

I was actually watching the pilot again the other day and I noticed Isabel Rochev was on the list. So, he's working his way through the list in one way or another.

Rewatching Season 1 now and I completely forgot that Tommy found out about Oliver.

:/

And to think, if Ollie hadn't been a dumbass and done that, Malcolm would be dead, Tommy would be alive, the Glades wouldn't have been destroyed, and Thea wouldn't be crazy

...Maybe Ollie is the real beta

With any advice I give for watching TV shows: You need to start from the beginning. There's so much lore and history built up over the past two seasons that you can't just drop in.

Season 1 has the better overarching story and characterisation, but takes a while to get going. You'll be hooked by the midseason finale. And episode 16, "Dead to Rights", is flat out amazing.

Season 2 starts introducing more extreme elements. It's a bunch of fun and brings in a lot more flavour from the comics. Some of the writing and character motivation gets a little preposterous but it all comes together in the end and the final 7 or so episodes are fantastic.

Season 3, the showrunners have said they're trying to bring in the mystery of season 1's storytelling with the spectacle of season 2. I guess we'll find out if they deliver.

I'm down. I'll check it all out today when I get off of work. Thanks for the advice guys.

It's actually kind of interesting when you think about it

Most people don't find out about Oliver, he tells em or they are told.

Diggle, Felicity, Roy, Tommy, and Barry were all told.

Barrowman, Moira, Slade and I think Sara are the only ones who find out.

I believe Laurel finds out as well... but only after she finds out her sister is the Canary.
