If the game ends up playing better with a controller than kb/m they messed up. Both the strategic interface and the movement/aiming should work perfectly.

One of my favorite RPGs of last gen. Will double dip for sure.
 
I have zero reason to pick this game up, but it's great more people will play it.

If they put trophies in the PC version they should really patch them into the PS3 version too though.
 
PC gamers are so lucky to be experiencing this shit if they don't have a PS3. This game is one of my tops of all times and i even loved the anime. I don't expect anyone to be making a fuss when it comes out
 
I always wanted to play this but never got around to it when I had a PS3. It reminds me of Worms 3D so I will be purchasing it as soon as possible.
 
Oh god haha, looks like the Yakuza fanbase on Sega's forums are having meltdowns over VCPC. Time for me to add another tally to my "Times Those Guys Moved to Detract on Anything Positive for VC" chart.

...Just waiting for a Steam page, Sega...
 
I'll sign later today. I don't have a PC and don't ever plan on investing in one. But a new lease on life for these spectacular games is a very great thing.

Maybe Steam success can reverse the fortunes of these dead franchises and help them get out of the cemetery of mobile future.

What a surprise. Will definitely buy it. Hope its Optimised for Laptops, if not then I will make sure to get one that runs it.

I am liking the fact that SEGA is supporting PC more and more, hopefully this means more SEGA games on the platform.
 
I wonder if they'll re-balance the game, op scouts kinda of trivialized any difficulty.

I hope it has decent AA, I loved VC's looks but them jaggies always distracted me.
 
Hope Sega do a good job of porting it. I'll definitely be buying it - I'm more than happy to show support to one of my favourite games of last gen.

probably not. some of the worst abuses could be limited by cutting movement down more aggressively on repeated turns. but some of the later levels were challenging (to me) anyway. also it's fun to just mess with snipers and whatnot so I wouldn't do a completely obnoxious scout run until I repeated the map but it's a little too tempting when you can run halfway across the map and headshot any of the enemies that would be troublesome using a more balanced strategy.the game in general is not balanced but it manages to be fun regardless.
 
They should also do a VITA Port while they are at it!

One of the best games of the whole PS3 era. I'm thinking about buying it again just to support the franchise.

Jann died the very first battle I used him in and lost him for the rest of the game :( I always try to use different people every playthrough but keep coming back to the same couple people for their end game potentials. Vyse is just an unstoppable killing machine.

I will buy this day one just to support Valkyria Chronicles. I've bought 4 PS3 copies and passed them out as gifts when they were in the clearance bins at Walmart. I might buy a Steampack if they have one and give those out as gifts to spread the love.
 
Guys if you didn´t play this game on PS3 buy it right away on PC, it's a gem. I will double dip, tears of happiness.

Oh, of course. I'm the last person on Earth to justify a crappy port. I was just talking about the bare minimum, being someone who has not played this game on PS3. I can understand that the cost of implementing features that were not originally present in the game can be quite high. SEGA may fear that such a "niche" game will not do well enough to justify those changes, and that's perfectly understandable. But there's a huge difference between that and not even giving resolution options or locking the framerate to 30.

A bare-but-functional port is not desirable, but OK if that's the best we can get. A straight port that doesn't even support basic PC features is not OK.

heh, at the least the tweets mean they support the cause, and not necessarily imply something's up behind the scenes. I remember when the petition launched JP said it here and/or on twitter that this is cool and if people manage to convince Sega then that's great, obviously Platinum would like to expand their audience, but they rather do it with new games instead of old ports.

I might double dip for this. And I NEVER double dip.
I'd like sega to port the other games in the serie. I just that one game on PS3. I heard the one on PSP is great too.
 
The main reason why I bought a PS3 is finally coming to PC. Awesome. I have been wanting to replay it, so soon I'll be able to do so in 1080.
