DOA actually didn't have that stigma until DOAX Volleyball. A lot of people played DOA3 consistently but when Volleyball came out many people didn't look at the series the same way.
Yeah, I do remember it have a better rep more than ten years ago.

I think it was some compilation disk that they put in kiosks or something with a whole bunch of games
I probably got it in a magazine or something
I just remember playing the demo so much and never buying the full game
How do FGW regulars feel about Dead or Alive? Do you play it, like it, hate it, just like the breasts? What do you think of the free-2-play implementation?

just looked it up.
DoA probably had that stigma since the start of the series. It had boobs physics on PS1, I mean, how many 3D PS1 games had boob physics? Also, I remember that stigma being there during DoA2 days, it was all over gaming magazines at the time. It just wasn't as bad before DoAX.DOA actually didn't have that stigma until DOAX Volleyball. The PS1 boobs were so shit hardly anyone cared. DOA wasn't even that big until DOA 2 Hardcore and DOA3 on Xbox... before that it had the stigma of being a VF clone.DoA probably had that stigma since the start of the series. I don't know man, looks like ass to me compared to T3.
Might be because any PS1/N64 game would look ass compared to T3! DoA had better physics though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL1R5p-TFA0I don't know man, looks like ass to me compared to T3.

Yeah but I don't want my stick bending Kappaaluminum would be relatively light.
(and gives a nice electroshock)
Marvel has a big announcement tomorrow?
NSFW, dude.

1) The starting CPM for Twitch is actually $3.50 per 1000 Ad Impressions (Obviously higher for the big name streamers)
2) Subbing to a stream costs $4.99 a month, with half that money going to the streamer
3)That would make the minimum possible average viewership to make a living off of streaming in the 1,500 to 2,000 range as that amounts to $26,000-$35,000 a year. (This is if 50% of your viewers use adblock. Obviously higher if less of your viewers use adblock, and lower if more of your viewers use adblock.)
4) Basically the big name League guys can pull around $5-10k per month if about 20-40K viewers per stream (with 2 ad per hour, and 50% on adblock).
This has nothing to do with the fighting games
http://www.goldper10.com/article/300.html
but it's an article on how much players in the League of Legends scene make for being a pro vs streaming on Twitch. With that said the 2nd part I figure has some relevancy to fighting games since our community streams on Twitch as well.

Tampa Bison wrote a pretty interesting article about how Chu Chu got into the Capcom Cup and how he feels about it
http://www.esportsmax.com/article/cnb-chuchus-road-capcom-cup
A pretty good read IMO if you're following the Capcom Pro Tour and wondered yourself how he got in without ever hearing of his name at any big tournaments.
Gotta give ChuChu props for playing the system.
They do. Whenever I grew out my nails I'd always break one playing FGs.
Anybody who can play on stick without breaking a nail is pretty high tier.
I love you all.
How bout that Daigo.
You guys missed the top player pool party with them too.
James Chen wrote a preview article on the capcom cup
http://www.ultrachentv.com/2014/10/28/the-capcom-cup-2014-preview/
What's of note is that James calculated the possible matchups if everyone is seeded through point totals
this would be an amazing bracket
From a gameplay perspective DOA5 is a very good take on the series. I don't know if you knew but Itagaki was a Sakurai like guy with his series. Since he attached way too much importance to his favorite characters (the ninjas) he made them the better characters in the game. I don't remember if it's in DOA3 or 4 but Hayabusa was a better grapler than the graplers of the game, that was ridiculous.
Talking with the EU DOA community, they told me it was a great combination of two people that made DOA5 a good game : Hayashi as the producer and Shimbori as the director but also as the lead of gameplay. THey understood perfectly what was wrong in DOA since the first game and corrected while keeping the game feeling, that's impressive.
Also DOA5 has the most women in the tournaments I help to organize. Almost a third of the players are women.![]()
That image is strangely hypnotic.Fine. Page me Cobalt!
Slide method is pretty easy. As weird as it sounds it's like throwing a frisbee to me, like the way your hand is going from one direction to the other. I might make a gif just like I made a gif for Mes on how to do Ultras.

we need to study why this effect occurs, given the fact that the current atmosphere in gaming!
Well at least Hayashi is good for something, he sure didn't improve on Itagaki's Ninja Gaiden lmao

Do I need DOA: Ultimate to be able to play the final round version on PS3? I'm still unclear about that

I wish twitch would have their app on the Roku 3 or the new Nexus player when it comes out...
