IMO, the further we get away from season 1 Oliver the less interesting and relevant they are.
Amell even looks like he doesn't give a shit about em anymore. That scene where he nonchalantly murders that guy was awful.

Last season was great since they directly linked back to what was going on in the present. So far, the flashbacks are pretty uninteresting and don't really comment about what he's going through now. They really dropped the ball on these flashbacks in the episodes so far.

I just remembered: What the hell happened to "DIGGLE YOU HAVE A KID NOW YOU CAN'T GO INTO THE FIELD"? Like... that was a major plot point in the season premiere. But he's been going out into the field since then. He even went to fucking Corto Maltese.

That flip scene, I literally laughed out loud. lol Scenes like that and the occasional forced/weird line still bring the series down a notch unfortunately, but I think it's much better than before and doesn't really bother me as much as before.
In general, I think the season is off to a great start. I could do without the flashbacks, but that's more or less how I've felt since the first season. At least curious to see where they lead. I think this season has great potential though.

I wasn't a fan of the flash backs last season but they were needed to show how Slade became Ollie's enemy. This season I just zone out when it goes to Hong Kong. I know they plan to keep the flashbacks going for the 5 years but I kinda wish they'd just stop.

This wasn't the worst scene on season 3 of Arrow but it does encapsulate the type of problems that are making this season the weakest so far.
Even the flashbacks aren't working for me like they used to.

I actually liked this scene. Oliver just don't give a fuck when he's actually killing. Birth of Serial Killer Ollie.

I don't even get why it was "Welcome to the New Age" anyway. It's a terrible song, a terrible title and just terrible in every way. Making fun of it is the best thing you could do.
