this game looks fucking amazing. go blizzard.
imo it's visually a breath of fresh air in the mainstream shooter genre.
can't wait to try it out. hope it also comes out on x1/ps4.

this thread is also amazing in that if the graphics of a game aren't state of the art,they're automatically terrible.
and also, while this game does not seem to be deliberately attempting any racial commentary, there are people who are convinced otherwise and are 'looking' for racism.

fucking amazing.

looks like a super charged TF2. I'm totally in. Need an FPS to scratch my itch since I"m too rusty to be competitive in CS now.

They haven't revealed everyone yet, but Blink Tracer seems to be the closest to that

It looks fun, but at the same time it looks so unoriginal. And on top of that it's another multiplayer shooter. I don't know, maybe the beta can sell me on this one.

The game is not mechanically the same. The heavy for example used to be slow and couldn't function in many situations where as now he's the god king who can do everything on his own.

The weapons they added made some classes worse and gave other classes unnecessary buffs. The classes to start with were very situational, now everyone can do everything and that's really, really stupid. That's my major issue with it. Also hats. :/

I didn't even really think about it this way. I saw a lot of TF2 influence and then the MOBA influence in the characterization and varying character abilities. However, now that you mention the use of cooldowns and distinct roles, this really could be a great game. Part of what makes team battles in games like Dota so exciting are the (typically) balanced interplay between many different characters. Each match up is different because you have so many possible interactions of cooldowns/ultimates/items, etc.

Really looking forward to this and hoping it is a bit more dynamic than TF2.

LoL no shit ... all of Gearbox must be just staring at computer screens and quietly sobbing right now.

Something about Battleborn just completely failed to grab my attention. It looked like everything was so stilted and awkward.. the minigun guys gun look like it was shooting BBs or something... just a weird feeling of thin substance or something like that..

this looked instantly fun and all the weapons/powers/setups looked powerful and unique.

Nevermind the fact that Blizzards marketing/trailer/hype/CG dept. shits all over anything Gearbox could ever dream up.

on a side not: So MOBAFPS is officially like... a thing now? Like when all the volcano movies all come out at the same time? How many more devs are gonna throw their hat into this ring, i wonder.

It's a shooter, get over it. There are plenty of other games coming out, Starcraft 2-3 is still on the way.

Now that I'm looking at his trailer, you're right. I was misled because of in the gameplay trailer the only thing he does is shoot hanzo in the back of the head and then dance around like an idiot.

People assuming this will run on low end hardware should watch more closely. There's a lot going on and the shaders seem complex for characters and parts of the environment. Also tons of effects going on.

Seems alright. I'm an okay fan of TF2 and this gives such massive TF2 vibes. Not super excited for another competitive game from Blizz, though.
 
Makes me wonder why the hell we haven't had a DC or Marvel game like this, that looks absolutely amazing. Amazing! Day 1!
