Again pretty much all of these are mid teens, I can understand that. And I would love to see evidence of this 8 year old 'Noah' beating some of the best MVC3 players in the world. I'd eat humble crow by the spoonful.
Kayane has been a gamer since her early childhood, interested in a variety of genres.[7] In 2001, she won the second place in France's vice-champion in Dead or Alive 2 at an age of nine
You obviously weren't around arcades in the 90s. I had no problems beating adults and teens at sf2 and mortal kombat. And those were far more competitive than smash bros.
Unless someone else knows of any other competitive game where a 10 year old can win against adult 'pros' I think my opinion won't change. I really would like to know how legit these videos are though. Is she really versing top tier pros? Cause if so..

I dont have a problem with her beating anyone. I have a problem with the insinuation she beat some of the best smash bros players in the USA. Did you beat some of the top players in sf2 and mortal kombat just happening to play you randomly?
I am just curious if this is a good young in beating strangers and randoms or has the title presents beats several top players..
You somehow sound too defensive.
Ofc 10yos can beat adults in competitive games, as they have the advantage of faster reflexes, movement, and adaptability.
The problem with kids is not that they are dumb, far from it. Their problem is apathy. When a kid has a hobby they like and dedicate their time on it, they can be amazing on it.
And also, you got it wrong. Smash 4 is competitive and requires you to have skill with the game to beat a skilled player. While i agree that it is no Melee, its skill requirement is high and definitelly higher than that of Brawl.
I wonder why a young girl being very skilled in a competitive game, something that should be celebrated, has spawned talk of whether the pro players are really pro, or whether the competitive game is really competitive.

As for the video, good for her doing so well. Its always cool to see someone so young do well at games against people who have been playing for years.
Edit: oh and ssb isn't a real fighting game. You know.

Sky in the other video is ranked 3rd on the West Coast, and Xzak is ranked 8th. They are Brawl players but the title is accurate, and from the Twitter accounts it sounds like she was just beating everyone and anyone in Smash 4.Yeah, the title is misleading. D1 isn't a top player. He mostly commentates, but you won't see him get in the top 20-50% ranking for any tournament.
The other video is also someone I've never heard of or seen. If they are a top Smash player it's for Brawl not Melee or PM, but even then it's probably someone active in the scene, but not necessarily competitive at the pro level.
For the sake of the adorableness of the story I think the title is fine, but, yeah these aren't 'top players,' by any means.
It's not a big deal, but just for the sake of clarity.
Are you sure?Well fair enough, I guess if Noah can beat adults and only being 8 there are those who just click with the games very well. I am prepared to say I was wrong and it's a real eye opener to those who are so young yet skilled.
Are you sure?
Maybe MVC3 is just another casual game with a fake competitive scene. And we all know chess is just a button masher with no real strategy, which is why i assume the conversation is even ongoing since Bobby Fisher is a household name.

What was my final assumption, exactly?Good job taking what I said, completely ignoring it for your own stupidity and making your final own assumption, with ludicrous hyperbole. I stand by what I said and I'm happy to say I was wrong. Grow up.
Like how is this possible. I have only played the Smash Games in mutliplayer mayhem fun, but this really makes think they cant be competitive at all if some 10 year old is beating well adults..
What is bodying and what are frame traps?
I somehow never really got into the previous Smash games, even though I bought them all when they came out.
Hey, to be fair, rumble does suck. The fucking excuses. "I can't play with rumble"...seriously? And the guy in the audience just reinforcing that? "I can't play with rumble either".
She should play Ganondorf.
Oh, well that explains everythingHer name is Clarissa and apparently she mains Rosalina.
she makes me want to get better at smash.
Sakurai is proud. Also, why do you heckle a 10 year old? Peeps be kind of weird.
