We put up the tree Nov 1st. In Canada the Xmas season starts the day after Halloween. One of the benefits of an October Thanksgiving means a longer pre Christmas buildup!

Was so excited when I got to leave Minneapolis after spending a year there for work. winter starts so early and drags on FOREVER

Nothing great about it... Once the snow hits the ground its like Pandora's box has been opened.... No going back, just goes deeper and deeper until its suddenly streaks of below zero highs & the pileup of snow on both sides of the driveway is so high you cant see the neighbors house in a typical suburban town.

We've got a good chance that the first snow flakes that hit the ground will be here until spring.
