Has any opportunity been wasted more than Nintendo securing three Wii U exclusive Sonic games? I can't think of a more anticlimactic result to that.

I don't see why it being a licenced kids game should encourage the media to be more lenient with it. A bad game is a bad game, regardless of the business decisions behind its creation.

What happened Sega? You were at your lowest point then made Unleashed -> Colors -> Generations and perfected Sonic in the process then you screwed it up with Lost World and this. Fans want Generations, stop with this already!!!

Kind of remind me of Sonic Heroes but worse but I liked Sonic Heroes, I don't remember if there's a demo for the Wii U but I might try it.

I cant stand new Sonic and friends, since Colors, the new style doesnt work for me, all their jokes are just annoying,its like they use the most tired jokes they could think of, Lost World was not so bad, i guess.But this game is the culmination of all that.

I was wondering why it was taking Sonic so long to die since even when characters get through level geometry, there's always the "insta-pit" failsafe to put them back on the map. Instead, we now have the 2014 version of "IT'S NO USE" Loops.

I can't help but believe that this is an experiment done by Sega. The worse the game is the more copies it will sell.

You'd be surprised at how many people in this very thread thinks that garbage was clever writing because it was supposedly "self-aware". Usually that type of fourth-wall breaking shit is the lowest form of comedy imo.
I like it better when Sonic gets caught up in his own world instead of having Tumblr/DeviantArt/Newgrounds bad levels of writing.
Which is heavily present in the Sonic Boom Cartoon as well. -_-;;

I doubt they'll make it despite how huge Generations 1 was, but I doubt it'd be awful. This isn't Sonic Team, it's Big Red Button. They're basically a team of people who've left Naughty Dog and actually tend to show potential; Sonic Boom seems to be more of an anomaly here. Sega's last Sonic game was Lost World, which actually wasn't bad. However, it also wasn't good, but that's because they were trying to go in a new direction and weren't sure how to pull it off. If all they'd be doing is just making Generations again, I'm sure it'd be just as good, if not better, than the first time... so long as it's not outsourced. Especially not to Dimps.
Well kids today have bad taste than lol. Honestly prefer the old school Sonic model, the new model looks too tall and lanky. I don't mind the characters just the last couple of Sonic games were really bad in gameplay and the last game I played was generations.
I couldn't even tell that was the sonic 3 final boss theme...My God sonic chronicles butchered it. Yet it goes so well with the gif. XD

A consolation though , they seem to in most cases have thinned out the ranks to the sonic conglomerate characters
Sonic, Tails, Amy, knuckls, shadow, eggman and sometimes metal sonic. So you might not have to deal with charmy the bee anytime soon.
