this is like a super low rent jak and daxter game, below the lost frontier
I always prefer placing blame where its do, and not once have I seen anyone criticize to actually developers of the game. It reminds me of how people were hammering Nintendo for Tecmo-Koei original characters in Hyrule Warriors having such huge breast and little cloths, but not saying a word about Tecmo-Koei who created it.
It seems kind of off to me. Like people are just looking for reasons to bash the popular targets.

Best part is the ship coming in without any sound.
Yes, this is Big Red Button's mess, not an internal Sega team. But Sega is the one who chose BRB to develop this game. They're the ones who decided the development budget and the development length. Sega is the one who should have been able to see that this game wasn't up to par, because it's ultimately their money, their IP and their name on the front of the box.

Is it just me, or does it sound like they re-recorded the word "Lyric's" in Tails' lines? There's a clear audio glitch there damn near every time he says it.

That's a good point, actually.
Honestly, this whole thing paints Sonic Team in a much better light as their work on Sonic over the last few years has been quite good already. Lost World wasn't brilliant but, compared to this, it's incredible.

That's exactly what this is. Sonic Team isn't even making it, it's really just a low budget game to fulfill the Nintendo agreement and promote their show.
No one had any hope for this game from the start. It looked like crap from its reveal all the way til release.
Also Sonic Generations and All Star Racing/Transformed kicked ass.

Seriously, just stop. You clearly don't have any idea what the Sonic Cycle is supposed to represent and even then it hasn't really applied to anything since Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, maybe Unleashed, but that would already be a stretch. This game doesn't fit the Sonic Cycle because hardly anyone expected this game to be good.
So please, let it rest. Stop the drive by "huehuehue Sonic Cycle" posts. It's not funny, it's not accurate, it's just annoying and you present yourself as an asshole in doing so.
Just bury the idea of a Sonic Cycle in general. There are bad Sonic games, there are good Sonic games (Sonic Generations, while not without flaws (but then again which game is), being one of them). Nothing to do with any cycle whatsoever. Just let it die. Please.

Cycle? Most Sonic games have been pretty good for a while now.
Lost World was good, Generatinos was good, Colors was good. Unleashed is debatable. The Werehog sections were mediocre, but the rest was good. The DS Sonic games were good.

colours / generations smashed this theory and this game, like you said, didnt even pass the first step. as far as ive seen the majority of the fans have outright dismissed this title, if not spoken against it (myself included)

Well.....the Wii U version is at least more positive than the 3ds version....at least the option to use wisp powers with the analog stick was made an option :u
