Sega very happy with Valkyria Chronicles' Steam launch

The delusional part of my brain is thinking: Good, now bring over the untranslated Yakuza games.

My less delusional part of the brain thinks like this: Let me double dip on Yakuza 1-4.

We did it! I won't be able to play my copy for awhile, but it's in my library :)

It was my first PS3 game back in January 2010. The next game was Bayonetta.

Meh, handhelds rock and now I want to buy the sequels since I'm enjoying this.

Well meh to your opinion too then. I just don't like handhelds. I only played the sequel on PSP and it really sucked the charm the first game had right out of it and the game itself I felt suffered from the limitations of the PSP. I think I would have enjoyed the game a lot more if it was on PS3 or if it got a Steam release.

P3/4/5 should definitely be on PC. You'd probably get your money back from buying the game by selling the waifu cards.

If there is one thing I have learned about the Steam community, it is that they love their waifus. And currently they are in short supply.

Persona on PC would make me a very happy person.

Stuff like this makes me really happy... I'm glad to see people putting their money where their mouth is. Hopefully it will show developers that exclusivity is pointless, and bring more games to PC. It's a serious audience that spends serious dough on their games, so there's no point in not catering to them.

This is a really important point. I was really impressed with how many people actually reported buying more than one copy of the game on GAF. I see "I'll buy ____ copies." a lot when it comes to begging for games to be released or to "come over" and it usually gets an eyeroll from me because that's rarely ever the case. But this is one of those events that have given evidence ensuring that it's not "all talk."

Actually, yeah. P4G on Steam would be an instant buy from me.

I've told pretty much everyone about this game. I'm guessing I'll end up gifting it a few times in the holiday sale.

SMT3 plz. I imagine they won't go that far back :\

I'm not sure how much control over Atlus properties they can have. I'm thinking RoF deserves a second chance, nobody played it and got zero recognition but that probably discourages them, VC was already well liked and recognizable.

I mean, when I say, "I'll buy it 9 times" I'm quoting homestar runner, I'm not actually gonna buy it 9 times. But i'll hype the shit out of it, and i'll buy it if the port's good, and I will convince everyone I know to buy it.

Well deserved!

Ok Sega next port over Sonic Unleashed and the iOS taxman games

These would be great.

I actually bought an Amazon Fire TV for the primary purpose of playing the taxman Sonic ports with a controller (Fire TV accepts any USB controller and 360 controllers). I then took it a step further and picked up a RetroUSB Genesis Controller to USB adapter and now I can play Sonic 1 & 2 in Widescreen. Then I went further again and hooked up the official wireless Genesis controllers to it. It's amazing.

Yeah, good. If all these sales came before, maybe Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3 (not even traslated in english!) wouldn't be PSP games and maybe the IP would not be related to some shitty card game.
Now SEGA, prove us you're smart enough to bring something else.

Glad i could participate (with GMG though). Now, its a good occasion for more Sega ports but not because "i want this niche game", but more by asking what would fill a gap on PC's library and where there's demand for it.

Cool! I'll be gifting it to people as well.

Why not twelve times?

I wasn't talking about you specifically, but with a claim made so loosely it's fantastic to see it backed up for once. And I'm not talking strict equivalents either. If someone said they'd purchase 10 copies and does 2 by release, that's fine by me.

But when heard releases flop and everyone is looking at who to blame, they should remember the claims they made (because not everyone is quoting Homestarrunner) and how important it is to show results to devs/publishers when the time comes.
