Finally managed to do the mexico origin thing. According to origin I can preload on the 14th. I hope the nvidia drivers will be updated by then as the current benchmarks appear to be a bit disappointing.

I would expect drivers on 17th or 18th so day before or on day of US release.

I've never really played a Dragon Age game, and I kept mixing this up with the new Fable in my head for some reason. But reading those reviews and refreshing my mind on what the game is all about, this is now on my radar for sure.

Where should I look to learn about the game?

Hey guys i'm really looking to get a new co op game. Does this have any co op play for the main story or is a seperate mission mode? Or does it even have any co op?

I haven't played any of the Dragon Age games before but am happy to let my mate do all the work while i sightsee....lol

Thanks in advance.

zero co-op. All they have is just multiplayer missions that have no relevance on the main story. It's just a fun dungeon crawler addition.

Nice 30 minute long video.
BioWare clearly listened to feedback regarding what players liked and didn't like in previous entries in the Dragon Age series. As a result, Inquisition feels like it borrows from the best of its predecessors while exploring new ideas, and we take a look at those idea in this episode of Test Chamber.

Andrew Reiner, Kim Wallace, and I sit down and spend some time in a few different areas of Inquisition's large world. We see some of the variety in the environments, look at the wealth of available quests, and talk about the characters. Kim even fights her first dragon...with hilarious results.

Besides the lore thread for the backstory, I'd say to watch the stream of the prologue by Bioware a few days ago.

So have reviewers confirmed that PS4 firmware 2.02 fixed the issues with Dragon Age Inquisition?

Polygon commented on it:

After initially reporting these issues to Electronic Arts, a representative for the company reported back that the crashes were not actually caused by Dragon Age: Inquisition. Rather, they're apparently a side effect of Sony's PlayStation Network 2.0 firmware, which also recently affected the Evolve beta as well as the PS4's Rest Mode. That latter problem was apparently fixed by the 2.01 update last week, but the issue with Dragon Age: Inquisition remains.

After speaking with Sony, a representative for EA informed Polygon that the problem had been located, and an official PSN patch is being prepared for release prior to Dragon Age: Inquisition's Nov. 18 release date.

Sony (through the same EA representative) offered to send Polygon a pre-2.0 PlayStation 4, but we turned down the offer since it's unlikely that any consumers would be playing the game on similarly unpatched hardware. However, later in the review process, Sony offered to send a PlayStation 4 containing an early version of the post-2.01 patch. We agreed to this to see if it made a difference.

The good news is: It did! We spent our last 15 or so hours with Dragon Age: Inquisition on a PS4 with the unreleased new firmware, and in that time we experienced no crashes.

Sony updated PlayStation Network to version 2.02 shortly before our review (and this story) went live. It's unclear if this is the patch that will fix the crashing problem on Dragon Age: Inquisition, but we will be testing it in the coming days.

Well... It IS co-op, just in completely unrelated missions with premade characters.

Yea that sounds like garbage imo haha! I like using my own characters and needs to be story mode, hate tacked on stuff. Infact all I ever play in any game is story/campaign. Always skip the multiplayer and other features like challenges, extra missions etc. If it's not part of the main story/campaign that you select from the main menu then it won't get played lol.

Yea it's weird but for me it seems like the campaign is really where the meat and potatoes of game is, everything else if just filler, optional etc so once i'm done with the campaign I can safely say I have seen most of what the game has to offer (weapons, stages, enmies etc) and that's all i'm really into. I do sometimes get into multiplayer stuff but again has to have some sort of co op e.g. Horde mode in Gears of War etc.

I have known I would get this game for a while, but the good reviews made me look up some videos (for some reason I had not seen any footage of this game yet) and that was a HUGE mistake, this game looks so cool but of course I have to wait until the 21st :(

All the hype and good reviews got me thinking again... Should I get it..?

I love the Mass Effect trilogy and therefore bought DA: Origins including the addon very cheap. I only played for 3-4 hours, but I absolutely disliked the DA universe during these hours. Everything gave me the impression of the most stereotypical fantasy world you could create. I wasn't hooked by it at all. I'm sure some characters would have developed some kind of story arc to become interesting, but I just wasn't convinced to play on.

Any possibility that I could like DA: I? I'm really craving for a RPG on my PS4..

DAO is very stale nowadays, I think DA2 and DAI are much closer to the Mass Effect school of writing. I'd say go for it.

I'd say, for the reason you pose for why you didn't get into Origins... Its worth a try. DA has become a bit more like Mass Effect in its execution since Origins.

Less than a week to go, and my dilemma is simple: do I bide my time re-familiarizing myself with the events of Dragon Age II? Or try out some of the Origins DLC? I just finished re-playing Origins and can't imagine putting it all aside just yet.

Are you me? haha... I'm in the EXACT same position - just dealt with the Archdemon (for about the 8th time I think) and now it's either Awakening/Leliana's Song/Emissary et al.... or DA2 - played both before multiple times... only time for one choice!

I'll just youtube the cutscenes on 2 I think, get a refresher before Inquisition

Huh. Tried to start my EA Access, but I keep getting an error. Wonder if my existing preload is screwing it up.

EDIT: Nevermind, working! See you guys on the other side!

I think you need to give Thedas a bit more time to grow on you, it doesn't start as strong as Mass Effect (that start... gives me shivers), but once it has you, it has you.

If you love the Mass Effect Trilogy, I can't see you not liking Dragon Age - it's not a generic fantasy world by any means... it's dark, gritty, extremely humorous and filled with some of the best designed races/characters this side of the Frostbacks (which are like, some big mountains in Dragon Age :P sorry, my fanboyness shines through sometimes haha...).

Maybe try out DA2 this week - it's good, and a bit closer to Mass Effect's style of gameplay/dialogue :)

It seems like a handful of people are streaming the PC version. I guess they gave preview access to some twitch streamers since there will be a ton of xbox strwaming this week. Interestingly, one of the guys who said he was streaming the PC version said he had the same 6 hour limit that EA access has. Could that mean a possible timed PC demo? Or perhaps, 6 hours of early access after PC preloading? Or spread andraste's ashes on my face if too speculative.

At least "Babylonian" used to work for R3v so he most likely got press copy from BW.

I would guess.

If that ends up being true, I'll immediately try to get a refund from GMG and pay the extra $12 to get it directly from Origins.

I pre-ordered the game today. I'll spend some of my free time between now and the 21st on refreshing my DA lore (I barely remember anything from DAO and DA2, both of which I've most recently played in early 2011) and doing all the stuff in the Keep. The game really comes out at a perfect time for me: this week and the next one are going to be quite tough in terms of schoolwork, bo the week after that will be rather light so, hopefully, I'll have some time to play it :)
