My world state:

DAO: Human Mage, No romance, old god babeh, Warden/Alistair alive, Loghain killed in fair combat, Alistair king, Architect let go(I think?)

DA2: Mage Hawke, No romance, Sided with Mages, Arishok is dead, Anders is alive, Corypheus is alive

Let's do this

Dammit! I don't remember most of the choices I made in Either DA:O or DA2. I wish the saves just transferred that info over, or at the least that there was some way to look at a list of all the choices I made by loading up my saves into a program or something. I know I can just make the choices in the keep, but I wanted to live with whattever my choices were already.

Architect just wants to stop the Darkspawn from finding the old gods. I'm cool with that.

Corypheus gets away no matter what you do

Play it since Saturday (PS3 Version).

Played Origins for maybe 10 hours. Played this now for about 15 hours. I love it, even though the PS3 version is glitchy and ugly as hell and my PS3 fans are dieing. The console gets way too hot (old fat PS3 60gb). I am thinking about buying it for PC. :-/ But I want my save game with me. :(

I feel bad, for not carrying my world state over. I first played Origin's on console. Loved it. But then I got it for my PC, and I played the shit out of it. Probably beat it like 3 times (no joke). And then, I got Dragon Age 2. I fuckin hated that game. I beat it once during the first week it was out. And then I never touched it again.

But I don't think I have any my stuff saved. And I can't remember any of my choices. I do remember all the plot. But just don't remember the exact choices I've made for every single thing. So I 'm going into to this game basically with a brand new character, and a default world state save.

I guess the Ain't Nobody Got Time For That meme was invented for thise game.

Damn, this wasn't really on my radar (haven't played the previous two) but the great buzz and reviews have piqued my interest. I want to pick this up next thursday (yeah, Europe got fucked again), but with Far Cry 4 coming out tomorrow, Forza Horizon 2, Shadow of Mordor, Shin Megami Tensei IV (Europe again) and Alien Isolation in my backlog I just can't imagine finding the time to play.

Ah well, maybe I should just say goodbye to social life?

mhh still not sure if i should build my own savefile via the keep or go with the games default world. i never played DA games, but i did spent a bit of time to read and watch the lore of the world.... mhhh

You can still put in what you do remember in the Dragon Age Keep and possibly get some stuff in DA:I.

You can view your achievements from DA:O and DA2 in the career section of the Keep. That should give you at least some info on the choices you made.

Ah so that is what everyone is talking about. I feel dumb for reading about it over and over, and not knowing what that was. TBH, I really stopped following this series after I was let down by Dragon Age 2. And so, it wasn't until I played the 6 hour demo on X1, that I realized this game is amazing.

Better go to the Keep and get all that set up before tomorrow night. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Fuck, the Keep is full with choices/quests I don't even remember. I can't start playing DAI like this. I have to play through DAO and II again.

Do we even know massive these choices will impact this game? I kind of felt a lot of choices in Mass Effect were sort of shallow in 3. I dunno.

Great stuff Shinobi - thank you.

I´m super excited.

I´m also super European, so I will have to avoid this thread, at least for a couple of days. :(

I watched some streams on PSlive over the weekend and decided I will be getting this day one.

I just want to wander aimlessly in those environments.

Has anyone played it on Xbox 360 for a longer time? There are some videos at YouTube about the beginning but not about the bigger areas.

Preloading done over night. Now it's the waiting game. 18 hours to go. Playing at 6am will be so much fun hehe.

Great OT!

Really looking forward to sinking hours upon hours into the game. If I can choose race/class that is, which usually takes about one hundred rerolls to get right. Damnit.

KB/M or 360 gamepad?

I'm looking to play a spell blade style class. Is Knight Enchanter the way to go?

Also, relieved to find my character from Origins on 360 is preserved on Keep! You done good, EA!

For PC I def think keyboard and mouse is the way to go! PC UI is much more what I'm used to for DA since your abilities are in a sort of dock across the bottom of the screen/easier to access instead of the gamepad version where you have to flip through four at a time I believe. Just comes down to preference I suppose.

Yes, I think that's the only way to go in that regard.

Alrighty. Thanks. I always like playing a melee class that has some cool attack spells on the side, so that's probably the way I'll go.

Does anybody know if there have been any screenshots of the in game area maps, eg for Hinterlands? Just wanting to get some idea of the size and sprawl of the areas.

Thanks.

The character creator will be used for hours. I already have a few Inquisitors planned:

- Human male warrior based on me.
- Female Qunari warrior.
- Female Elf rogue.
- Human male rogue with a female face because why not, the CC is really extensive. Might give a laugh or two.

So which site is sending their keys out early because I'd rather set my wallet on fire than pay fifty fucking pounds for this through Origin. EA can go fuck themselves with that pricing.

Yeah I guess I will end up with KB/M. Though the gamepad seems like the right choice if one want's to play it more action oriented, at least from what I've gathered from streams/YT. Me, I'm more of a tactical guy.
