Destiny The Dark Below opening cinematic

Im just hoping they buff it so it atleast can be used in the raid. Its shit right now in pve.

They've said they're going to buff it so it's a much better PvE weapon - it's intended to be a weapon that you would want to take with you through the next raid, which might explain why it's solar (since the hive are mostly weak to solar.)

DLC looks awesome, lots of new weapons and armor (with new mechanics for upgrading guns, etc.) I liked Destiny from the beginning but they've really been making huge improvements lately and I hope this continues the trend.

Is it not? It's one fourth of the planets? I wouldn't mind seeing a breakdown/number of missions.

You are not counting strikes and the raid. You are not taking into account that the first earth missions are very short. Calculating the exact percent of gametime the trial has would be difficult, but is certainly less than 25%.

6 went into the darkness and only one returned?

I guess she really was....

THE LAST GUARDIAN!

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The hive are the imminent threat. Also there are theories that the hive win in the future which is why we are given the vex mythoclast by the vex. That the vault of glass is a trial to earn the weapon that can kill crota. This explains the vex time traveling and why they are not present on any planet the hive are on. It also explains why the mythoclast is made for humans and not vex

Then why did the Mythoclast get nerfed so badly? :(

Fair enough. I know I played less of Earth than the rest but that's because it is the lowest level content. End-game content and repetition aside, In terms of actual things to do and see, it certainly felt like a fourth.

Guardians with body armor full of holes made with the Mythoclast re-entered the Vault and time travelled to the future when the Mythoclast is about to enter production and swapped the schematics.

Enemy design in this game just screams lazy. Bosses are just bigger versions of the minions.

They all feel like reskinned halo stuff to me. Cabal = brutes / hunteres. Fallen = Elites / jackals. Hive = Flood. Vex = sentinels and 343 = ghosts.

They went with what they knew for sure.

Pfft joke was done by Honest Game Trailers already.

Also, I am pumped for this. Much like aforementioned video, I can complain about all the problems I see with this game but I can not stop playing.

It wasn't a joke though. People have been saying it since launch.

We can definitely scale standard enemy types, and do, but for special encounters the team creates new geometry, shaders and effects, encounter mechanics, sound effects, etc.

What you're seeing in the prologue is one of Crota's forms. We'll have some more info dropping soon, but we'll be pretty tight lipped about the Raid and Raid boss for obvious reasons.

While it is true that Sekrion and the Templar (just to use them as examples) are different from each other and from standard Hydras, they are visually similar and it's hard to spot the differences in the middle of combat unless you are scoping them.

I've raided a ton and only realized the Templar was not a vanilla hydra some day that I happened to be far from him and decided to use a sniper rifle.

I'm getting this for free and still struggling to find a reason to return. Destiny sits on my shelf like an ugly mole to be removed.

Day one fucking can't wait.

Not dropping another dime on this game.

That Destiny split in a nutshell lol

Make sure to include some fromage in that geometry, good sir! Some of us like our cheese.

Sure, they are based on base enemy types in a similar way that Phogoth is based on an Ogre. In some cases, the differences are minimal so we don't lose affordance (for example, lasers are going to come out Phogoth's face), in others the changes can be more radical.

But I hear you.

Do we know what level this raid will be?

I'd like to play it but there's no way I'm going to grind my 28 up to 30 for this.

I'm pretty sure normal will be 28 - saw that somewhere in the materials that came with the update on Monday. They wouldn't make it 30. Normal 28, hard 32 (new level cap) makes sense.

I'm Destiny. I want to be magical. I want to be sci-fi. I want to be emotional. I want to have a desperate atmosphere.

What the hell am I?

I honestly felt like I'm watching a trailer for a Warcraft or a Diablo game.

Eris sounds like Tess Everis (Actress Claudia Black) who's work I love.

If it is her I'm seriously wondering if this was cut from the main game. She's too big of a voice actress to have been literally a pointless character you never speak to. Then they'd bring her back for the expansion? I'd bet anything she had all that recorded from ages ago.

Hey urk.

Are the press getting early access for previews? Should we see anything soon?

Yeah not gonna worry about this until Destiny 2 ( or a major expansion ) next year.

Not paying for little trinkets of extra content here and there.

Ya.

Wonder if they got dinklebot back for some more dialogue. Well I imagine they cut this out the game to begin with so I guess they would still have that recording.

Isn't the Iron Banner selling level 30 boots and gloves right now?

Yep. Easily attainable with about 4-6 hours of smart play, as well. Totally worth it if you are not being blessed by RNGesus, so pick them up while it's hot. The event ends on Tuesday but as the week goes on the Tempered Buff (Costs 1 Mote of Light and lasts 12 Hours) gets stronger every day, speeding up reputation gains.

Cool. Looking forward to it. Took my 64 year old dad through the raid last night for his first time. Maybe the oldest player to beat the vault?

Close! I know of a fine gentlemen in his 70's who's beaten it. :)

But that's awesome!

Stoked for this. My Titan is ready, Hunter is close, Warlock is lagging behind.

Thanks. I guess we have to do the matchmaking ourselves lol. Maybe now I can finish the Thorn bounty.

Hey if you read this, I can help you if you're on PS4. Shoot me a FR on PSN and I'll help you take care of that really quick. I'm online pretty much every evening during the week (Central time zone). Just let me know you're from GAF in a message.
