Metal Gear Solid Delta Opening Intro Cinematic

Tiffany Mann has the best version on this song:

But also nice 👍🏻

Define downgrade.
  • The original musical performance is far better.
  • The new opening feels like a set of random clips mashed together without any thought or context, made to showcase the shiny new graphics.
  • The original is more abstract and psychedelic, it fits the atmosphere it wants to convey much better.
  • The original is better directed.
  • The original feels more like a Bond opening, which was the point.
  • The snakes in the new opening are a fucking travesty, they look so weird.
The original is leagues above in style and substance. Another example of less is more.

We've found Kojima's burner account ladies and gentlemen.

You don't miss him...there has been no new mgs content since he left lol.
Yeah, but I played Portable Ops, and Rising, which he didn't worked on, and liked them.

Rising is a different genre, and a spin-off, but still a Metal Gear game.
Not a masterpiece, but a very fun game with lovable support team, and that is enough for me.

My point is simply that Metal Gear can move on as series even without Hideo Kojima.

Kojima doesn't have anything to do with MG anymore.

And frankly, personally I kinda don't miss him.

There are a lot talented people to work on franchise.
Yes, I know. I see I should've worded my sentence better. What I should've said is they need to get his team (That he said he gave ideas for a new MGS game to after he dies) a spin at making a new game using their ideas. Not Kojima himself.

I do agree there is a lot of talented people who can work on the franchise starting with those he wanted to live the franchise to. But doubt that happens anyway. Konami is a weird publisher anyway.

I mean, Kojima moved on from MG.

Wish he still worked on series, but it is what it is.

I am sure they still have talent at Konami who could do a new game justice even if it's something different like Rising.
They made him move on by how he got treated with MGSV, he didn't do that himself

But yeah, I would take a side game but not a mainline game from those cunts.

Not even close
Idiots will see this and still pretend gaming isn't fucking garbage compared to back then. It was every year you had multiple masterpieces to choose get excited for. Now you're lucky if a single good game comes out a year. Shit is fucking tragic.

But as AZRoboto said, 11 games are from November alone...
I think that was an attempt to devalue it in their eyes..
But 11 in one month and that wasn't even everything released that year.
Yes it's fucking tragic what's happened.

Its literally in the original game. Why would they remove the snakes?

As I've already said i don't remember it, It has been over 20 years since I last played it.

It still looks shit even if it was literally in the original, They could have chilled out with the snakes a bit because I think it looks cheap and shit.

I'm not a die-hard fan, but I understand why people are upset with the opening. It focuses more on graphics and CG than artistic expression, lacking moments that match the music or the overall video theme. It gives away too much, and the scene of a snake eating another snake when the singer says "snake eater" feels more goofy than clever.

The Music is a lot more mellow and not as full as the original. It's missing the guitar *chicka chika wah wah* in the background @ 1:02 and throughout the track. So yeah, I would consider the music a downgrade 100%.

He didn't move on, he publicly got fired from Konami. I really wish people stopped simping for this man and check their facts how we reached this point.

Guy was seriously going over budget, you can watch behind the scenes videos. Just a small example, he had Konami pay license for like 100 top classic songs yet he used like 30 of them in the game only. Game was about to hit gold status and he decided to re-record a ton of voice lines and call back VAs because he watched a movie and had another plot idea. Dude was just burning through cash relentlessly. On top of that he started Silent Hills project without telling Konami anything about it so imagine as any company owner on top you delaying the biggest game yet now they see you fiddling with another project instead of burning through cash and delaying MGS5.

There was nothing "poor Kojima" about it. Guy deservedly got sacked and people can keep posting #fuckkonami all they want. If you were a business owner, you too would put your staff in check if they bite the hand that feeds.

delta's take is just throwing in as many in game scenes?

Kojipro original is way better and suits the james bond-cold war era theme

Gonna be honest, I was never really much of a fan of MGS3 intro...

Especially when I compare it to something like legendary MGS2 intro / theme.
