catching up on this season, up to episode 6 now but... I think the show lost me. Ill still watch it, but as a comic fan (not even a big DC fan, I just know the basics), Flash is making me dislike Arrow more and more :/

The universe has now established super powers and crazy shit, why are you so scared of going off the "realism"? why are you making brother eye into a fucking hacker guy? couldnt it at least be a AI? you just used NANITES last episode, whats wrong with using AI? ugh

sorry, im sure im in the minority, but yeah...also, malcom just faked his death huh? there goes the lazarus pit...sigh

give it 1 more episode. 7 is a REAL return to form.

also, i wouldn't be surprised if the "real" brother eye shows up eventually. gotta be in it for the long haul.

I like that there are two different types of shows in the same universe, and there's no rule that more powers can't show up on Arrow and the likes.

But if it lost you, it lost you.

I did say I wont stop watching, but the excitment is deffinately not there anymore. Also, I hadnt "seen it" like you guys yet, but yeah...that fucking flip Roy did before he gets darted by Nyssa was ridiculous. Welcome to the flip age indeed

The way I see it is no different from how Superman's villains typically don't show up in Gotham. Then again, Batman does have some meta villains which Arrow eventually has to develop on some level too.

Every time my girlfriend walks in while I watch Arrow, and Laurel is on screen, she jokingly asks me why I'm watching chick soap dramas. That's what the show turns into when she's on screen. It's horrendous.

Newsflash - it is on CW. Half of the show will always be a chick soap drama.

Anyway, I wish they held off for at least a season of the Flash before they did this cross-over crap. Most of the characters in the Flash aren't fleshed out enough for this to be very interesting yet. (I realise they had a mini-crossover ep with Felicity already, but that's a bit different and easier to pull off)

Also should note that people still keep falling for the "I didn't miss" and the. Get hit by an exploding arrow.
Yeah, seriously. Trailer was ok, but I have the feelings that I already have seen these things. I guess I read too many comicbooks to be surprised by this type of team-up.

Great as the comic-books are, the banter between TV Arrow and TV Flash is just awesome. Genuine sense that they're friends, but won't agree on anything. And that Oliver's mentally already prepared on how to fight Flash if it comes to it. Also, it's nice to see... ya know... superheroes having fun working together after that 'WE ALL MUST HAVE ANGST' Avengers nonsense.

This is literally every superhero team-up ever. Including Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Dark Knight Rises. Also have you even seen Avengers?

Anyway, the crossover looks incredible. Is this all going to take place in Central City? If so what the hell is Thea doing there?

Flash episode takes place in central, arrow episode takes place in starling I think

We've heard rumblings of Ra's all through S2. What we were shown in "The Magician" was 1) his face, and 2) that he's after Malcom Merlin. We're also told that he's not responsible for Sara's death, so he's innocent of the big crime. Only the line "Oliver Queen courts war with us" in response to him protecting Merlin is any indication that he's the big bad.

No, we don't know Ra's is innocent of the crime. At all. In fact logic states that Merlyn's take has validity, and that Ra's played a part in it. I mean Merlyn wasn't even in Starling City when Sara returned, so her being sent there is extremely suspect.

Not even slightly. The FF and X-Men films aren't crossovers, Dark Knight Rises has one superhero, and Avengers has them bickering for 75% of the film, fighting aliens for 24% of the film, then 1% 'oh, they're friends now.'

Oh man, Laurel gonna get fucked over again.

Laurel may be suiting up in a new Black Canary costume, but Arrow fans be warned: The novice is far from being a hero.

Driven by revenge, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has been desperate to take up the mantle of the Black Canary following the death of her sister Sara (Caity Lotz), inching her closer and closer to fulfilling her comic book destiny—something fans of the graphic novels have been eagerly awaiting since the show’s inception. But she may be putting the cart before the horse when she finally suits up.

“Just because you put on a mask and a costume doesn’t mean you’re a superhero,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells EW. “A mask does not a hero make. We’re really at the beginning of Laurel’s journey to becoming the Black Canary, not the end by virtue of the fact that she’s put on a costume.”

Therefore, when Laurel does finally go out to fight crime, “It’s not like Arrow [Stephen Amell], Arsenal [Colton Haynes] or Diggle [David Ramsey] going out into the field,” he says. “She gets punched, she gets hit, she gets injured. When she throws a punch, she doesn’t always connect. When she jumps off of something, she doesn’t always land on two feet. She’s a much more rougher and realistic kind of crime fighter.”

“I’m loath to even call her a hero at this point because I don’t think she’s earned that title yet, though she certainly wants to,” Guggenheim continues. “There’s going to be a continuing process of evolution with her despite the fact that she’s now in costume.”
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

But... that's basically what Roy did!

so I saw ep 7 like you guys suggested before I "give up" on the show (not that I would like I said) and I imagine you guys were refering to my concern about them not being more like the comics (since Flash is) with the inclusion of Cupid and Captain Boomerang, and sure enough, I loved the episode...go figure right? :)

The only thing worse than shipping is when the people in the charge start pandering to it. It's ruined shows in the past and it'll continue to do so in the future.

I've kinda wanted them to go that route with Oliver and Felicity together, but the way they're doing it this season has me rolling my eyes and I almost couldn't care anymore. It's borderlining on Smallville territory if they keep going with it.
