You think Shawn Michaels is mediocre?Edge is a good one as well, I put him up there with Umaga.
HBK was also surprisingly good, given how mediocre I think he is.

so? They were going to decrease anyway without the rock, plus the network underperformed too. He wasn't the most amazing draw, he did have loud as crap crowds though.
Goldberg was the Ryback of his day.
The medical stuff is what could really get the WWE in hot water if it blows up. Could be a repeat of the steroid stuff in the early 90s steroid trial.
During the summer of punk, he was every where 18-35 year olds were. On boards, IN Random team fortress matches, on the sidewalks, on espn. Everywhere people were talkingabout CM Punk. He should have been another Rock/Hogan/Austin. He could have been. But as usual Vince dropped the ball. Just like he did with nexusYou guys really are overstating the importance of CM Punk to the WWE, he wasn't exactly a massive draw and for him to compare himself to The Rock, Undertaker and John Cena is a joke if you ask me.
I remember Colt sharing some pretty harsh words on his podcast towards Linda McMahon when he received some mail (that he suspected that a random fan signed him up for to troll him) thanking him for his support of her running for senate. Wish I remember which episode it was from, but it kind of went something like "Fuck you and your company for crushing my dream."
Was Colt in WWE?
Case in point, Fox Sports homepage:
This gif is now better. Dying Punk and concussed Del Rio

I'm assuming those people watching are like what the fuck is this shit?
Once you start talking about incompetent doctor's misdiagnosing injuries and concussions WWE would have to be incredibly stupid to bring things like that into a work...which means there's a chance it's a work.
I would love to be a fly on the wall at the McMahon thanksgiving dinner this year. It's probably awkward enough since Shane walked or on the family business, but today... Oh my.
I don't think it is. It's just incredibly poor business practice that you wouldn't expect from a large corporation. All the media sites focusing on the wedding headline is stupid. It was the least important part of the story. He didn't even give a shit, just found it amusingly sad.

Makes the WWE look worse than their attempts to control image. All that "work" undone.
Same exact thing would have happened to Daniel Bryan if he didn't have such a stupidly infectious mainstream chant that could blow up at mainstream sporting events so much that even idiots who don't watch wrestling would get caught up in the furor and participate along with it.During the summer of punk, he was every where 18-35 year olds were. Which anyone could have told her. When your name is attached to pro wrestling, you're not getting a high profile gig like that.
.....and before anyone brings up Jesse Ventura, that doesn't count as Minnesota is a bunch of weirdos.![]()

Once they realized it, head office did absolutely everything in their power to attach that chant to everyone and their uncle not named Daniel Bryan so it could be known as a WWE chant and not just a D.Brine chant that he could use as leverage to disrupt their precious fucking status quo. Lucky for them the dude's pretty much the nicest guy in the world who will go along with just about anything he's told.
Bryan has always been of worth to them. It's changed over the years but they did hire him back a month after firing him. Vince has always liked the "good hand" who will make his stars look great. It just turned out Bryan was much bigger than that role, even if WWE wanted him at that "just below the main event" level at most.Shit I wouldn't put it past them to only have Bryan still working for the company after his injury because he is married to a Bella twin. Vince has his stupid hardon for the twins and wouldn't want one or both of them to storm off.
Punk and Bryan are both people they merely tolerate/tolerated. neither are part of the inside family.
The real story here is the WWE's terrible medical department that misdiagnoses, and bends and twists the rules and results to suit the company's wants, as well as encourages guys to work hurt.
Trust TMZ to see the word "wedding" and leap on that footnote as the headline.

i coulda swore the twins did quit one time no?

did Punk never do a wrestlemania main event?
Nope. Three years in a row, he had a good case for getting it and WWE didn't give it to him.
I always enjoy Punks HHH impressions the suit thing killed me. He really believes he's on Austin, Rock, Hogans level.
did Punk never do a wrestlemania main event?
He is
I would disagree, but not in the "ROFL HE FUCKIN SUX" way. I *do* think that he should've been paid as much as everyone else the night he wrestled 'Taker though.
He is
I never noticed that... I guess "the summer of Punk" was just that, a summer thing, after wrestlemania. Thats ridiculous lol. oh well
He is
he really goes off on Ryback lol
