Someone with the hype bubble getting this big, I feel this is how it's going to end up

Also if it were a FF 13-4, at that point I'd rather nothing.

FF 9 sucks. There I said it. It's so slow compared to the others. Also materia > restricted skills through armor and weapons. FF7 forever!!!!

i'd rather Crash or PS allstars, and i fucking despise both.

I'd love to see them announce PS1 and PS2 classics for the PS4, especially if they bring out a surprise announcement of Suikoden II and maybe even the PS2 games.

So Guerilla is working on two new IPs ? Unless they stopped their Fantasy RPG ?

They have three studios. Two in Amsterdam and Guerrilla Cambridge. The second studio in Amsterdam that they opened in 2010 is working on a rumored RPG starring a redhaired female character (the mech dino game). No one knows what the other two are doing.

I'll rather have a Vivi and a Steiner than 3 clones in my party.
FFVII is the best of the FF series in story, but like the others lack the characters appeal that have FF9 with the skills combination and team strategy.

It'd be nice if they would announce the next firware update would have the ability for us to play our physical ps1 games (ps2 as well but I would settle just for the ps1 games) on ps4. There that's a way to connect the past with the present. Too bad it might go against what they want to do with ps now.

To each his own, but I I don't like having to take a character in a party because I need their skills if I hate them to their core. Vivi should have been the main character and not Zidane. Rather be able to make a group with the party members I like and still be able to heal and do physical damage thanks to a much more configurable battle system. It's why I prefer materia.

FFVIII skills combination system better than both of them.

Yup, I'm personally very excited to see more of UC4, Bloodborne, and The Order, anything else will be extra special for me. Wish I had the money to go to this event, almost pulled it off by using my brothers miles, but he won't be around to take the trip with me so I gave up on the idea.

Will be posting detailed impressions. Other than those 3 games, I'm excited for the witness, no man's sky, jaffe's game, tomorrow children, arkham knight and tearaway. I'm hoping that Rime is playable, we get to see more of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and either GG or MM reveals its game.

I really want to see TLG, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. There is only so much awesomeness I can handle in one weekend

I would wager all 3 studios will be working on the RPG. Even Cambridge until they explore whether it's worth having their own project in production.

Best FF game easily.

This justification is always for something bad. Why do you guys do it? Nothing positive can come from hyping yourselves like this. Just relax, December is a week away.

It's fun getting hyped even if it ends in disappointment.

People are starting to fight now.

I see, at the beginning of the thread, everyone was happy and speculating and talking about happy things, that was the PS1 era, with new original games every year. Now people are aggressive, that is the PS2 era, where we see games like God of War being born.

I feel that before the event we will go through phase 3, where the thread will split in two and these sides will wage war against each other, symbolizing both the shooters of the generation and the split after the 360 came along.

At the event itself though, it will be something unexpected, as we experience phase 4. Will it be good? Will it come full circle and return to phase 1? Or will it be a disappointment?

It's the Playstation Experience.

I also should go to sleep.

I really don't think this will be anything epic of major announcements.

I think it'll be something nice for the PlayStation fans, and an all things celebration of the brand.

I do expect one announcement though. Maybe Horizon.

No way Sony is gonna put like 500+ people and three studios on a single game. In fact, they usually have one studio split into multiple teams One Guerrilla is working on Horizon, one is working on Killzone, and Cambridge is working on.... new IP? MediEvil? They're a bit of a mystery since there's no way they're making a Vita game again.

Killzone is not done, I'd wager. I suspect Cambridge will be taking on the next main instalment in that franchise while probably all of the Dutch effort moves to 'Horizon' for the time being.

Media Molecule won't be showing anything new until Tearaway Unfolded has launched. Why take attention away from their current project with something else that's probably 18 months from launch?!

Your updates/summaries in this thread have been very valuable. Thanks.

This, except that I think it's Cambridge that is working on Killzone. Didn't they do the Vita game? I also thought they helped with Killzone 2 (my favorite, by far). There have been rumors of that being the case, but I barely even remember them, let alone their credibility or lack thereof. The main point of it being illogical to have three studios working on one game (oh hey, Ubisoft) still stands, however.

I'm with you! I remember a job posting earlier in the year hinting that Cambridge's next game is triple a and a part of a million selling franchise. They just released the excellent Killzone Mercenary last year so it makes sense that they'd be taking over the next PS4 installment.

As for main studio Guerrilla, I believe it's probably all hands on deck for their dino RPG while another project is in pre-production.

They might just turn Cambridge into the killzone/other stuff project and turn the main studio into the new ip/ other stuff studio

Who knows. Tearaway unfolded is a side project compared to their big game. Announcing the game would just mean people talk about it for a couple of days and then wait till the next reveal. But I agree, it does seem unlikely that one studio talks about 2 games at the same time. Don't think any Sony dev studio has done that before. Probably gonna be E3.

Thanks for the update!

MilitAnt looks fun and hectic :) But god dammit if the opening sentence of its trailer didn't make me instantly think of something else I desperately want to see :(

I'm really excited to hear impressions from any GAFers that get to try out Relativity. Exploration/Puzzle games are definitely my jam.

Tinertia also looks pretty cool. If they can nail the rocket jumping mechanic without feeling too floaty, I'd be sold.

Could be, Mercenary was fantastic. I'd bet Cambridge is providing assistance on whatever Amsterdam is making as well as working in a main project of their own. I'd be happy with their main stuff being Killzone, although I'd also like to see them work on an IP of their own (aka MediEvil or something new). My thought is, if one of the Amsterdam studios isn't making Killzone, what is it making? One studio is definitely enough to make any game Sony would approve based on their publishing habits. And two new IPs seems a bit much.

.....Asura vs Kratos ...... Bionic Commando vs Snake ( you know he'd be in there)..... Jak and Daxter vs Megaman and Rush .... Joel vs Ryu .... Yea I'm on board.

Did it? Had no clue, how badly did it sell? I played the shit out of that game.

First month US sales of 36,000 copies for Asura's Wrath, the oddball anime action title, did not come as a surprise to publisher Capcom.

Asked to evaluate the game's performance, Capcom's SVP of planning and business development Christian Svensson told Game Informer: "Kind of as predicted, frankly. It went about almost exactly how we thought it would.

"We also knew it was going to be pretty polarizing. The concept of playing a high-octane Japanese anime - it found a specific audience, which we figured it would do."

Hopes are probably already too high. Hearts are guaranteed to break when FF7 and Crash aren't there.

I think we all kinda accept it now, but we allow ourselves to get hurt for the fun of hyping it up. That being said, new stuff for UC4 and Bloodborne and The Order are going to lessen our fall back to reality.

I've tried to keep it low myself, Uncharted 4 gameplay, Persona 5 gameplay and GG's new RPG reveal trailer is good enough for me!
