I'd agree with you on any other franchise, but FF7 is Sony's baby. It isn't so much as "think of the millions in sales" as it is a bit of a black eye if they lost it being only for themselves. I don't mean it as it just being a AAA game they would lose to having themselves. That has happened and will continue to happen for both Sony and Microsoft. FF7 represents a lot more than just an exclusive title. Microsoft could get a multiplatform release of XV, XVI, XVII, etc., etc. That's fine and just the way things are in the industry today. 7, though, represents Playstation.

Okay, thanks for the info. I am sure this is kind of a prestige thing. But does it really count for the majority of the console gamers?
If you ask normal people what represents playstation, you would hear drake, sackboy, maybe gran turismo, maybe even destiny. but FF7? Maybe this is not romantic, but as a business decision there are better games for exclusivity than a remake of a prehistoric game in a declining franchise.

So freakin' hyped for Uncharted 4 footage! One of my favourite current series and I'm really hoping Druckmann's masterful storytelling shines through.

Yeah, I mean my minds racing just thinking of the possibilities. I'm hoping its the first game of this gen that just annihilates everything else on a graphical level. Even if its only for the discussion that will come out of it.

The Order looks fantastic graphically, the comparisons will be an eye opener. And when the game finally comes out it will really interesting if they can maintain the excellence set by TLoU

I told my brother about the last guardian and then showed him the trailer. Told him this is what the shadow of collossus team was working on. I had tears come out my eyes and totally forgot how beautiful that trailer was...and the fact that it was made 5 years ago. Nevet have i seen such a beautiful trailer with great accompanying music...it truly kills me every year we get nothing about it. I was happy as well that my little brother was interested in it as well. Damn it sony....the emotions everytime that trailer viewed

I should say I'm coming at this thought from the perspective that this were to ever even happen. If Square were to decide it is worth their time to do it, Sony needs to be ready for it. A prehistoric game it may be, but its importance, as you know, is undeniable. Like I said, the buzz would be deafening and grow and grow. The franchise may be declining, but the "sacredness" around 7 makes it seem like it transcends the franchise in some ways. Just my two cents
