Doesn't this deserve it's own thread, it's the first ever confirmation we are getting another God of War.
I wonder could Sony have struck a deal with EA to get an exclusive Star Wars title?
I hope we get an announcement of at least one Star Wars game in December, either at TGAs or PSX.
I would love some gameplay footage of Battlefront.
You can't just look at the numbers and determine the 'percentage' of performance. It's not 1920x800x30=46,080,00 versus 1920x1080x60=124,416,00 so ND are 270% more talented. The assets, and the details of the framebuffer, and millions of other things are part of the technical achievement involved in the games.Yes, but they are targeting 60 FPS with full HD resolution, it's practically demands 2 times more the hardware in order to do so, I don't see them surpass The Order by more than 2 times even with all the talent in the world, they are working on the same hardware at the end of the day.
RAD are also very talented, let's say ND are capable of getting 30-50% more from the hardware than RAD, but more than 100%? just no way, it will look great and be the best looking 60 FPS game by far and maybe even for the entire gen or at least until next ND 60 fps title, but not better looking than 30 fps games made by extremely talented devs such as RAD.
I believe he will work on one more god of war.....
Someone was hinting at that sony has got co marketing for battlefront. Sony already has some co marketing for hardline

Certainly a game can be even more of a technical achievement, and pale by comparison in terms of purely being impressive to people.
Oh, now that's interesting.
Where did that emerge, Jimmy?

There was some discussion in the a battlefront thread how EA were going to buddy up to sony again. Its happened with hardline so it could happen with battlefront.
My guess ms will probably get the marketing for it.

Like all marketing deals, some go to the blue team, some go to the green team.
Who knows how they're going to go about it.
In this case I'd say they can show a badass teaser in PSX (as they did wih SFIV) and then a longer meatier trailer in Capcom Cup event.I think Street Fighter V will be revealed. But it won't be revealed in this event or Game Awards. But the following week at the Capcom Cup event and it will be a multi platform game.
No, it won't be technically, objectively inferior, it will have used its performance in other areas.I've never said that. What I did say is that when you are targeting those numbers (full hd, 60 fps) it requires a lot more hardware in order to achieve visual parity with a 30 fps game by a very talented dev as well.
It means that U4's asset, details etc will be lower quality than The Order, will it mean it can't look better for some due to superior art style? maybe, but technically it will be inferior.

There are two things which essentially make up a game's performance, memory footprint and compute performance, you can theoretically use 100% of both of these constantly, in which case you are literally maxing out the platform, but that says nothing about how pleasing the results are. Someone could choose to spend huge amounts of resources on something most people couldn't even notice, that's an absurdly extremely example, as neither team would, but the point is, The Order could be using it's resources in a way that has less of an impact on the player, and that isn't purely in terms of the quality of the art.
I just had some spaghetti letters with my dinner and the word "Crash" magically formed in the middle of my plate.
yep The Order going with 4xMSAA which going to be so expensive is a waste IMO.
ISS or RYSE AA looks good and i am sure it no where near as expensive as 4xMSAA .
I think that The order uses a forward + engine. In this case performance impact by MSAA is much lower.
I doubt Ono would be visiting Sony just for a F2P version of USIV.In this case I'd say they can show a badass teaser in PSX (as they did wih SFIV) and then a longer meatier trailer in Capcom Cup event.
I think SFV would be multi, but how about if they announce a F2P twealed version of USFIV (with a pay $40 bucks for the full game since day one) exclusive to PS4 and Vita?
Remember that Ono is working in anoher PS4 exclusive, and if Takeuchi may be also involved I'd bet there are more chances to be an Onimusha since both worked there.

It does use Forward + but I think the biggest performance hit is going to come from the ABEL engine. Also GAF will never get behind the Order looking more impressive visually than U4 even though it does at the moment. If Naughty Dog shows something that blows it away in Vegas then I will go with U4 but from the little they have shown sorry the Order looks better.
Yeah, EA are so unpredictable when it comes to marketing deals.
I'd say EA has an agreement between Sony & Microsoft that whoever wins November NPD will get marketing for all Star Wars titles.
It's that important.
Indeed, crackhead talk. Whoever bids the most will get them, maybe MS would need to offer more to compensate for the smaller install-base, but they're not going to base it solely on one month of NPDs, and anyone suggesting so is almost certainly an extremely deluded fanboy.Lol. That sounds like a terrible way to arrange a business deal, but okay.
I'm expecting nothing for this event, no hype.
Any hot new scoops this morning?
Six more days guys!!!!!
Anyone but EA. They are in bed with MS, deep.
The keynote will be Yosp telling the story how he got banned from Miiverse again
Well, Team Ico games weren't big sellers so TLG shouldn't be a big seller. It isn't like a Final Fantasy, GTA, Crash Bandicoot or Resident Evil. No, it's so damn inaccurate.
Saying TLG is 'not a big deal' is laughable.
Morning guys! Anything happen last night, after the whole Jaffe GOW thing.....
E: quick question! Is SCEJ having a panel at PSX?

Again with the "laughable" stuff.
Sony doesn't have a large number of "big" games in their FP portfolio. GT, God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us. Maybe LBP. Killzone is midtier (despite people whining about it every time it comes up, it sells 3+ million each time).
Their job (as they stated during the last investor presentation) is to engage the core with core focused titles. There is no title in their arsenal that could have a bigger core impact than The Last Guardian popping up again. Bloodborne is similarly not a 5MM+ seller but meets this objective perfectly, which is why they will be focusing on it.
I still don't think this keynote is going to be some sort of E3 Bonanza. I think it'll be a retrospective and what it means to be PlayStation in both name and heritage. A few announcements, and something to look forward to- but come on ya'll - do you really expect a two hour wall to wall announcement fest?
I hope whoever is making the next Crash to use this design
