We might be in danger of going in circles here, but I'll say this one last time. The reason it makes sense to reveal it at PSX is the connection between FFVII and the Playstation brand, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. Maybe I'm remembering things incorrectly, but I thought FFVII was a very important part of Sony's plan and that it did give the system much more credibility than it would have had otherwise. It seems like this event would be a great way to acknowledge that history. But yes, this may just be an argument from a false premise, so I'm not terribly attached to the idea and won't argue about it to the bitter end. Agree to disagree.

it wasn't just that, didn't it open the doors to all the JRPG's that followed and all the Dev support we got overseas. I honestly think that if FFVII bombed, we would not have had as many oversea games that we did.

edit: talking budget wise lol, I know the SNES had an insane amount of amazing RPG's

The most important thing is that he was not banned while making such statements. He confirmed many times about the remake on the PS4 Launch Thread, and he was not banned.

If he's inaccurate more than anything, then what's there to actually believe? Sure, he might not be lying, but that doesn't mean he's reliable. He clearly hasn't been.

Square Enix might have changed their plans of revealing and Next Gen Collection ?
