Best looking Wii U game out right now?

BioShock Infinite is like playing some homeless guy's vivid imagination
I don't know what it is about Wii U games, but their visuals have this incredible "pop" to them. To be completely honest, I've never actually seen such a consistent aesthetic presentation across so many games on one console before, which makes the games stand out even more.

Super Smash Bros. is really impressing me at the moment. Most people might not be able to appreciate just how beautiful the game is at first because it's so chaotic, but if you really pay attention you'll witness some gorgeous backdrops and some of the most fluid character animations in any fighting game. Sometimes when I'm playing online my Internet will act up and the game will slow to a crawl, but it will allow me to survey each animation frame-by-frame and I'm always amazed by how intricate they are.

Still, I think Mario Kart 8 takes it. That fucking game pops to life on the big screen like few others. It demands attention from everyone in the room when it's being played.

Oh yeah, Rayman Legends, while not a Nintendo game, looks utterly delectable in its own right!

Mario Kart 8, no question. Honestly, it might be the best looking game available on any console at retail right now. (Maybe sans Unity, when it works)

In the same way that I think Okami HD is one of the best looking PS3 games, I think Wind Waker HD is probably the best looking Wii U game in my eyes.

Wind Waker HD.

Native 1080p cannot be beat. It's so damn crisp.

Mario Kart looks pretty good, but it's lacking in IQ compared to Wind Waker. I'd still give the nod to SM3DWorld anyway.
Smash is pretty simple looking, but clean.
Bayonetta 2 is pretty for sure. But its so plainly 720p.

I would say Mario Kart 8 but due to very fast pace one cannot fully comprehend the beauty. So it's between Pikmin 3 and 3D World.

PS: Waven't yet played smash bros u

Holy cow ...

I'll go with smash over MK because the aliasing annoys me. Smash has some big stages too.

Yep. MK would look so amazing if it had some damn AA. It's got a great art style and nice models/stages. But that jaggy look just kills the IQ imo. Was honestly the big graphical disappointment I've had this year coming from all the bullshots with depth of field and super clean IQ.

Mario Kart 8

While I can easily tell Bayo 2 is 720p/60 fps, I swear MK8 looks like 1080p/60fps to me. It's just so crisp and clean, and has fantastic art style. It also has wonderful in-game direction and great use of camera, the game really shines!

Wind Waker HD is really beautiful of course, but the non-consistent 30fps and lack of details dampens the experience for me (visually).

Impressed by Smash as well, but the game is usually to "zoomed out" to really stand out graphically IMO, if that makes any sense?

Nintendo's art direction has pretty much always been good at masking the technical limitations of their consoles, especially with Mario. Other devs could learn a thing or two from them rather than saturating their games with all these performance-sapping but ultimately subtle effects.

Art direction will trump technical aspects every time for me. So I'll probably go with WindWaker as its always looked amazing, the HD remake is just icing on a very delicious cake.

Smash.

The 1080p makes it look so crisp, combined with the art style and colours it's really something impressive.

The characters expressions are the icing on the cake. Jigglypuff is especially impressive to me.

Its between Mario kart 8 and smash Wii u for me. Both game use color to there advantage and have really nice character models and art direction. Mario kart 8 is probably more jaw dropping overall but smash 4 is so damn clean.

It is at 59 frames per second with the last frame repeated twice. It bothers me so much when I see that stutter every second. For that reason I would say no to Mario kart

Just imagine what Nintendo could have done on Xbone or PS4-class hardware
Something that really approximates the clean, colorful look of a Pixar movie.

Looking at Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker right now, and that is one good looking game.

Forgot about CT:TT. Looks to me like they tweaked the SMB3DW engine for the better (Or just used smaller levels to free up resources...). Either way I change my vote.

60fps.. this is my answer to some of that incredible "Pop"

Nintendo have been quite consistent in maintaining a high fps and it shows, not in screens but in motion

Smash, nothing is close imo. Maybe MK8, but Smash's IQ,amazing aesthetics, animations, and load times are just superb.

I would go with Mario Kart, I think. It just looks so great in motion.

By the way, Smash owners, try going into training mode and throw three Master Balls at the same time. The visual effects are amazing.

MK8 benefits a lot from following on from Mario Kart Wii, which was quite an ugly game. The vast contrast between the two makes 8 such a marvel to see every time I play it.

Brawl wasn't the prettiest game either, to be honest.

Are those Captain Toad screens bullshots? They look really pleasant, and if legit, the game would easily be my pick. Something about it reminds me of a more refined version of Super Mario RPG. I think it's the grid-based, colourful and stubby looking world with an isometric camera.
