Actual it's for all opinions, including dissenting ones. Just to reiterate: I sincerely hope we never get another Crash, Shenmue, or FF remake ever again.

  • Did somebody say Dino Crisis 4? Yes. Adam Boyes did, JUST NOW. He makes an awkward joke about PS4 being the undisputed home of dinosaurs. The reveal trailer shows Regina in a mech-suit fighting a T-Rex, 12 Raptors and a misguided Stegosaurus atop a mountain during a hurricane.
  • Boyes drops his Santa Sack on the floor and opens it. Shinji Hashimoto jumps out. The audience has been crying for so long that large swaths of people are losing brain function due to low salt-levels.

  • The Last Guardian lives. Chunks of concrete fall from the ceiling, crushing those below. The room can’t handle all of the feels pulsating out of gamers as they bask in the glory of the gameplay trailer. The audience is too transfixed to run. When the June 2015 launch date is revealed the internet as we once knew it is dead. People watching at home scramble to put batteries in CB radios, hoping to pick up military chatter about the PSX event.
  • Only one attendee remains alive in the theatre. His glasses shattered while watching Sora, Donald and Goofy wage battle with Prince Hans, sparing his eyes from what followed. Scrambling over the corpses in the theatre, he takes refuge under a desk with Jack Tretton.

  • The roof explodes, allowing a helicopter to lower someone down onto the stage.

If it eventuates it’d only be a solid 7/10 show because no Mass Effect or Fallout.

Nothing wrong with sharing your opinion, but that other dude was basically calling ppl ignorant for liking Crash. I don't care for Shenmue or FF either... but Crash <3

I don't really care if someone likes Crash or Shenmue. I think Crash is antiquated and a modern Shenmue would be a colossal waste of cash, but if these are things Sony wants to do it's no skin off my nose. I wouldn't hope to stop anyone from being excited about them either. I have opinions and I'm expressing them, but that's about it.

It's not that I don't want these things to happen (I don't care) it's that I think they'd be dumb moves, business-wise.

Edit: And yeah, TLG is NBD!

We could compile a list of first and second party PS1 classics that have not seen any sequel on later systems - aka "list the games that could be brought back"

Ideally it would be great to add a comment why this franchise is great to revive.

I'll start:
COLONY WARS (Psygnosis/Sony)
Why?
It's been a long time since a proper space opera has come out, and looking at Star Citizen and the hype for No Man's Sky, it is pretty obvious the time for a AAA space game has come. The thirst is real!

EDIT: Please put me on the train too :)
Also, there have been requests and a first train pic by Amirox somewhere in the pages 200 to 220...

A release date for Tearaway would be already enough for me. I'll be crazy hyped if they show their other project again, although i'm not really a fan of the Move controller.

But at the same time, what some people need to recognise is that, in a general sense, the likes of FFVII-R, Shenmue III, Sony Crash or the re-reveal of TLG represent the hypest of the hype. They're about as top-tier in terms of video game announcements as you can get, and this is an upcoming event that, due to some apparently reliable insider info, is going to bust out quite the megaton. So in that context, whining directly to a Sony representative in the thread that this game is a waste of time, or that game isn't worth spending any money on, or don't listen to those fans because they're deluded, is just kind of inappropriate. All you're doing is being this person here...

I don't even want a FFVII remake, because the original is my favourite game and I don't believe Square Enix is in a good enough state to do justice to the original, but sitting here whining about the possibility of it appearing in the next 4 days is just outright obnoxious. I might not want it, but I realise that a lot of people do, and I respect that.

This thread is going crazy. I really hope the PS Event delivers, otherwise there's going to be a ton of disappointed folk here.

Trying not to go too crazy, for new reveals and announcements I'm hoping for:

  • Gravity Rush 2 info (probably on the PS4 now, or PS4 and Vita)
  • Gravity Rush HD on PS4
  • First news on Horizon
  • First gameplay for Bartlett Jones' Supernatural Detective Agency, or whatever it's called
  • Maybe some news on the new Bend Studios game
  • Some more Morpheus info & software
  • (A major Morpheus project by London Studio)
  • Something new from Japan Studio (let's hope those trademark renewals for Dark Cloud & Wild Arms Arc the Lad weren't just housekeeping!)
  • Release date/window for Rime
  • New footage for Everybody's Gone to the Rapture

I'd be pretty damn satisfied with the above, coupled with Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky, Bloodborne etc. Hopefully we have see gameplay and less CGI. I've also kept it to Sony stuff as I haven't really been keeping up with the Capcom/Square etc teases.

Really holding out for something Gravity Rush 2-related this week. Whether it's the Playstation Awards in Japan or the Experience event, I need to see the return of Kat. The wait has been agonising.
