Lock, If old.

not bad, even if that shooting segment make me think that Barry will be the "Parker" of the situation, with his shitty shooting chapters

So it's actually coming out on 2/17? I made a thread about the release date a while back but Capcom denied the release date back then. Guess someone messed up and they didn't want to admit it.

Looks good. I like the episodic structure they're going with.

Hoping Barry's sections won't be complete action. Other than that, I'm pretty interested in this side-project.

Barry Burton, Release Dates and Extra Content Revealed for Resident Evil Revelations 2!

He’s back! Fan favorite and classic S.T.A.R.S. member Barry Burton will be returning in Resident Evil Revelations 2. The man himself can be seen in the brand new reveal trailer and new batch of screenshots just released. Headed for the remote prison island in search of his missing daughter, Moira Burton, Barry meets brand new character Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. Using this skill alongside Barry’s proven combat abilities, players will need to alternate between the two to survive the mysterious island and find Moira.

Each episode in Resident Evil Revelations 2 includes Raid mode content and two full playable scenarios focused on the previously announced Claire and Moira campaign and the newly confirmed Barry and Natalia storyline. Barry and Natalia will need to uncover clues as they fight to survive and their journey will lead them to terrifying encounters with two brand new enemies: The Rotten and The Revenant. The Rotten have bones that are visible through their bodies and stop at nothing to hunt down the living, and the horrific Revenant are formed from parts of human beings sewn together.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will release as weekly digital episodes at $5.99/£4.99/€5.99 each on the following dates next year:

So if i live in Europe, and i want the full thing 4 episodes + 2 extra story episodes (i don't much care for arcade modes in RE) i should buy the 25€ one?

Fun fact, the "Revenant" enemy (human parts sewn together) was intended as an enemy in the scrapped version of BIO4 that became Devil May Cry. There was a dog variation too.

Nice to see Barry's custom .45 Samurai Edge and Colt Anaconda too :)

This is so confusing.

Call me casual if you want.

I just want the most complete version on Steam, I don't care if I have to pay $60 (it should have been a real $60 game anyway).

dude how old is barry now, he's like in his 60s right?
that's gotta be one of the oldest playable characters in a game for real

also lol at his title being 'BSAA combat specialist' like that didn't spell out exactly what his section was for any clearer.

the trailer 'passes' the gunshot test, especially considering he's got an assault rifle as to hammer it in further.

his overall outfit gives me a lot of 'the last of us' vibes- it's real 'post apocalyptic survivor'-ish looking. the backpack really completes that look

edit:
that they're giving barry a non-combat partner too is really interesting though, especially if he's meant to represent the combat heavy pieces of the game though. like he's already got his own flashlight and everything but his partner has the ability to 'sense enemies and items' when they could've just let him do it by himself. it's weird.

still don't know what to make of this game ultimately, the experimental aspect is real interesting and it's got motherfuckin' barry burton awoooo

alongside that the extra episodes seem really interesting: they're focused on the non-combat characters... that's gonna be a real interesting kinda deal to see how much of it attempts to fulfill the modern 'horror' game stuff where you can't engage in combat
plus wesker and hunk in raid mode? geez, talk about knowing how to farm out fan favorites.

Who the fuck is that? Cause it sure ain't Barry Burton. What a crap looking model compared to his REmake RE5 Mercenaries Reunion model.

Also wooooow, they weren't kidding when they said they were taking inspiration from The Last of Us... I just thought they meant gameplay, not characters. That is almost Joel.

It's been 16 years in-universe since that model was relevant. I'm surprised his hair isn't gray.
the bizarre thing is that he actually looks younger than his RE5 self
like, he looks a lot closer to the movie version of him more than anything else because of how much his face is slimmed down + the facial hair/beard covering the wrinkles around his mouth and the lack of crow's feet

Seeing the way they've split this game up doesn't instill much confidence. Hopefully this isn't the carved-up 3DS game I think it is.

Also lol at Barry's new face. Why bother to change it that much? Resident Evil is always changing the character designs.

lol what. Barry is like what, 56 or something now? He's in such good health. Would've prefered Jamieson Price to reprise the role but Michael McConnohie is good too.

"This island is completely crazy!"

Made me remember how fuck-awful the dialogue was in Revelaitons. These guys can't write a story to save their lives.

Personally, I enjoyed the over the top, big budget action of RE6 a lot more than the endless trudging through gray hallways and fighting identical monsters in RE:R. I liked it, but bundled with the truly awful character design, it was hardly a return to form. Really hope this will turn out better.

Really looking forward to this.

Releasing a new episode each week is a great approach, I think. I'm looking at you, Telltale!
