I know Gaf loves their DD, but I'd really hope it's not a sequel to that game. Such a nice engine, that I felt was wasted on an underwhelming world/story. And I can't possibly see SFV being exclusive. Capcom seems really dedicated to continuing SF, so it would be multi-plat, unless Sony moneyhatted it, which would be shitty imo.

Well, the announcement would fit the bill for an announcement that would piss people off. Maybe, Capcom sold the IP to Sony for DD? Who knows, but there is waaay too much smoke there for nothing to come out of it.
 
I swear to god, if they somehow announce FFVIIR, J&D, Crash or a Dark Cloud game, I will buy a damn PS4 that day, cant contain the hype now, omgz.

White screen. Camera then focuses on the feet of a certain someone. A flower falls on the ground. A feminine hand reaches and grabs it. Camera follows the flower's path back to its basket. Aerith in full 1080p glory revealed as she smiles towards the audience. her theme song starts playing. FF7:R logo. Boom.

Why does the announcement have to piss people off? I think everyone is assuming that something from Capcom will be revealed this weekend, but I hadn't read anything leaning towards Dragon's Dogma over anything else.

There was a journalist from EU that stated that one of the reveals would really piss some people off, as to assume it is a moneyhat or big third party exclusive. Both of these games would fill that role.

The way he was acting, good riddance. He was warned by Bish of all people to lay off the teasing and that still didn't stop him. What's the fucking point in repeatedly coming into this topic and saying "Tra la laa, I know this thing that you don't and I can't tell you about it but maybe I'll leave hints or will I?!!"
 
What will be there
  • A new "never-before-seen" demo for The Order : 1886 has been confirmed - "Exciting things" to be revealed for Bloodborne - New areas and playable demo for Tearaway Unfolded. Until Dawn will be playable too, hopefully with a new demo
  • Uncharted 4 will appear one way or another. Rumors mention a demo. Naughty Dogs is also bringing new multiplayer content for The Last Of Us.
  • Ono's new PS4 exclusive will be unveiled. Although not confirmed, we know Ono will be there, and we know he is working on an exclusive PS4 game.
  • David Jaffe, and whatever his "Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency" is working on
  • A Night Under No Man's Sky. Whatever that means.
  • The Unfinished Swan, Journey, PlanetSide 2, Helldivers and The Witness will be there, all of which being potential "Available Now" moments.
  • MLB'15 should premiere there
  • Emagon. It may not even be a game, but we are getting something from that teaser

What could be there
  • SquareEnix brand new RPG. It supposed to be announced this month. Whether it will appear on PSX or at another event is unknown afaik.
  • CyberConnect's "shocking project" which was supposed to be unveiled by year's end.
  • Beyond Two Souls PS4. Trophy list leaked, but we are still waiting for an official announcement.
  • Persona 5 trailer. At least Atlus mention they will show brand new trailers for upcoming games
  • Horizon. Guerilla Games will be there, they may present their rumored robo-dino RPG. Or they may show up with a new map for Killzone:SF...

What may be there
  • Revived new IPs. Crash Bandicoot, Colony Wars, Syphon Filter, Wipeout... the list is endless. The clues are sparse, but this is the 20th anniversary so we never know
  • The Last Guardian. This game developpement has spanned over three different Playstation.
  • Gran Tourismo 7. Can someone really think of video game series that better symbolize the Playstation brand
  • Gravity Rush 2. Vita means life. Prove it.
  • Bend new horror game. They aren't on any listing afaik, but the very fact of putting them up on those would kill the surprise...

What won't be there
  • Level 5 new console RPG. It will be unveiled E3 2015
  • Shenmue 3, FF7:R, BG&E 2, Half-Life 3, Dragon's Dogma 2, ... Those aren't ever happening...
  • DriveClub: PS+ Edition. This ain't happening either ^^

Am I missing something here ?

Like someone else said, this is primarily a community event where the focus is on letting PS fans attend panels and play demos of games. The keynote will likely include one or PS revival IPs and a debut game or two but nothing too crazy. Boyes seemed to be trying to temper expectations as this is a community thank you event not the Shemue 3 / Half Life 3 / FF7 debut that people are expecting.

People are treating this thing like its E3. If Sony announced all these new things right now what would they do at E3?

Well, any exclusive will piss people off. Both those games fit that role, but so does almost every game in Capcom's current portfolio.
