Game Awards announcing World Premieres on Twitter [Up2: NMS, MGO, BB, 1886, KQ]

Predictions:
  1. Bloodborne
  2. The Order 1886
  3. The Witcher 3
  4. No Man's Sky
  5. MGS Online
  6. Uncharted 4
  7. Star Wars Battlefront
  8. Batman: Arkham Knight
  9. Rise of Tomb Raider
  10. Just Cause 3
  11. The Division or Rainbow Six
  12. Sony's New I.P. or secret bomb.
Not too sure if Nintendo would bring a world premiere with them. But hey it can happen.

I doubt Sony brings a new IP to this when their 20 year show is the next day. Maybe an Uncharted teaser.

Sure, I mean Captain Toad releases the same day, it'd be crazy if they didn't show off a new trailer for it.

There's a time and place for every game, The VGAs wasn't the place for Cranky Kong and it sure isn't the time or place for Captain Toad. Especially when XCX apparently is wrapping up development and doesn't have the Mario IP behind it to sell it to the rest of the world, sure it won't hit the west till later on in 2015 but there's nothing wrong with a bit of early marketing especially at something like this which will be talked about in some form for a good part of 2015.

I know Nintendo have direct for premiere, but the list lack some MS exclusive.

I have a strong feeling that they're going to have a surprise announcement from Bethesda...

...and that the announcement will be Dishonored II. I still think FO4 is a ways away, probably 2016.

Also maybe an official announcement/teaser for Walking Dead Season 3 or TWAU season 2, considering both TftB and GoT were announced this time last year.

Also, don't forget that Dungeon Defenders 2 will have something at the TGA, as announced by the devs last month.

So you have:
MGO
Bloodborne
The Order
No Man's Sky
Dungeon Defender's 2
Human Element (?)

I think Batman was teased as well, but i'm not sure what it could be since the final piece of the gameplay footage is supposed to debut at PSX. Unless TGA will have a teaser of it.

Another World Premiere revealed. A new King's Quest is coming.

You'd think they'd want to keep some surprises in this thing to entice people to watch.

As bad as Ubisoft has become, the Watchdogs and Division reveals were cool because they were unexpected.

Telling us in advance what games are going to premiere may turn people off, especially if they don't care about the games listed.

They had me at MGO tho (there would have been glorious epic meltdowns on GAF if they had kept that a secret)

They've only announced games we already know about. I assume the new games will be a surprise.

They never reveal everything that they're going to show. They tease some and then leave surprises.

King's Quest has to be one of my earliest gaming memories. I loved it as a kid. Not sure how that will transition over to a current gen remake though.

Leave it to Keighley to hype something that isn't. Seriously, has this guy ever hyped a single thing in his life that actually lived up to it? And now he's basically resorting to straight up lying? How is No Man's Sky a world premiere of anything?

He hyped The Last of Us and that turned out well don't you think. Also, it's a world premiere if it's something that we haven't seen before. And they're going to be showing a new trailer or gameplay for NMS. So that's a world premiere. It's a common term to use in all media. It doesn't mean that it's a new game announcement.

Debuting a new trailer is considered a premiere. That's the way the Keighley/VGA's have always done things.

They're going to watch regardless. That's what core fans do. But I don't think he's going to run out of teases. TGA is Friday. He's got 18 reveals. Even at 2 a day, the math works out so that Geoff teases just enough to entice fans to watch, but not so much that we just know everything.

This. All the games Geoff announced so far were public knowledge, including King's Quest.

And it blows my mind that ppl are accusing him of lying because they have a wrong definition of "exclusive premier".

Well a new King's Quest is news to me, and is very exciting! I would say that they are putting the word out about all of these things because they need to attract a large as possible audience and ensure they have the highest possible viewership. As the awards are relatively unknown to most folks, this kind of info will generate a lot of attention.

I'd be sure they have held some things back to ensure that there is still a buzz that continues after the events conclusion

I have criticised that wording, but I certainly don't accuse anyone of lying or claim to have expected only new titles. I still feel it is an industry wide phenomenon tied to marketing. It doesn't follow the literal definition of premiere, just as much as the many times things are advertised as exclusive with asterisks. But in the end lets face it, this is an exercise in marketing and ensuring as high a viewership as possible. Similar complaints have been mentioned throughout VGA and VGX showings

I hope you have bigger things to get upset about in this world. It is the world premiere of new content for No Man's Sky, there are new things to reveal. "World premiere" means it is the first time in the world what you are seeing is being premiered. That is true.

So that's:

1. Metal Gear Online
2. No Man's Sky
3. Bloodborne
4. The Order 1886
5. King's Quest

Not particularly interesting so far, although I'm definitely interested in seeing more No Man's Sky (but yet another trailer?) and Bloodborne.

Hope the next few are more interesting.

I realize they want to keep some surprises in store but No Man's Sky and Bloodborne aside, what they've chosen to reveal so far doesn't interest me at all.

I'd love to see a new IP that isn't M-rated. The industry is overflowing with M-rated games right now.

I can't begin to describe how much I'm looking forward to Rime and No Man's Sky.
